I am hoping to start Bill Star 5x5 this week and was hoping someone who has either done this routine or just knows about it could answer some questions.
>on Mondays what sort of weight should I be lifting on the first 4 sets? I know I have to work up to my 5RM on the fith so are the first 4 warm up, say 40% of 5RM or are they working sets, day 70% of 5RM?

Its the same as madcow. Its shit for bench. For the first 4 ramping sets, try to keep the intensity not too high. Otherwise you'd tire yourself and unable to hit new 3rm on friday

The DUP 3x a week allows week to week strength gains better than texas method and madcow.
