Is it important to eat something just after a workout? I usually leave it like 6 hours before eating, but lots of people say they should take uud shakes or eat food or some shit

I remember when I was 16/17(5 years ago) and I first started getting into lifting and nutrition, and I remember reading about getting your post workout protein 45 minutes within working out otherwise the gains wouldn't count.
I miss feeling like that so much. It's so fun being new to the gym and everything that goes with it. I remember calling the free weight section the 'roid head bit'.
I'm guessing Anon, you're new to the gym and maybe you're young. Enjoy it and make the most of it. As for the anabolic window, don't sweat the small stuff. It's a good habit to have but it's not the end of the world. If it makes you feel any better take a shaker with you with the whey in, and fill it up for your journey home if it gives you that peace of mind.
