Does anyone else use knee braces? Recently, had to kneel on tile for a straight week at work and feel like I have some minor tendon/ligament damage in my knee. It's enough to make me skip leg days so they aren't strained and damaged more. I lift in the morning and do martial arts in the afternoon. Do knee braces help heal knees faster or are they just useful after you've majorly messed them up?

Shameless bump also any supplements that help joints would help.

I use one occasionally. I have some minor ligament damage after hyper extending my knee playing football in my teens.

They do both

Fucked up my knees with fencing.

Once I started to use braces I could gradually increase my training and not only overcome the pain, but prevent it as well.

Nowadays I can forget putting them on, but prefer not to.

Thanks going to get some braces then. Are the fabric slip on kind the ones you use?

Footy guy here, yeah I use the fabric ones. But honestly if you're not sure go see a physician to check. The last thing you want to do is blow out your knee.

yeah.

pro-tip: if you intend to go running, make them a bit wet before you put them on, so they don't slide down your knee. (Sweat keeps them in place, but sometimes that can take a while). If you just lift, then it's not necessary.
