Is "saturated fat is good for you" a meme. I've switched to whole milk for 6 months and have been eating lots of high fat foods. I've lost 30lbs but I'm worried about my cardiovascular health. Pic unrelated
IIRC there is a pretty large genetic component to it.
Some people will have no adverse reaction to high saturated fat, some will.

Our body needs almost everything that you see on a food label, but it only needs some things in very small amount. Large amounts of saturated fats ARE associated with high LDL cholesterol, especially when combined with large amounts of dietary cholesterol. *Although eggs mess up some studies for some reason. Maybe because they have protective factors that are actually good for you.* Anyways, drinking whole milk is a stupid idea. Stick with 2% or lower. 2% has all of the nutritional value. The only thing whole milks has is saturated fat which IS bad for you in excess. There's better sources of calories to bulk with.
