When you cook with olive oil, butter, etc, how do you count it? It all doesn't necessarily get into your stomach but some is definitely absorbed by the food
The overwhelming majority is absorbed by the food so I just incorporate most of the calories into my macros.

Just count the entire portion that you use. Better to over estimate than to under estimate
I just started using my fitness pal
Do you guys use an app to track or a notebook?

I was stalling badly on my cut due to underestimating calories - 2 months later and I'm down 9 pounds. MFP works wonders.

Not true if you are bulking.
I just weigh it and add, tho I make sure it's either asorbed or I'm eating it all.
How do you weigh food that isn't completely all edible? (Chicken with bones, crab legs, bone in anything)
And how do we know that the nutrition labels are even accurate? I'm skeptical on their accuracy

Don't waste your time counting calories

Also wonder about this. I have some lamb shanks I'm thinking of turning into a stew but I don't know how'd I'd add it into the calories
you people are ridic
Count it all when cutting, half when bulking.

You weigh it before and the remains after, take the difference.
Don't go asking restaurants to weigh your chicken ones though
