I just started to workout. I swim often and I do have some athletic background. Yet I cant do:
>1 fucking pistol squat
>Can barely do 1 single arm push up
>Can barely do 1 single arm pull up
>cant do a dragon flag
>cant do a fucking L-sit
>Dont fucking understand how to do them fucking turkish get ups
>Im a skeletor
>Tried to each as much junkfood as I could, never counting calories
>Didnt gain a single lb
Yeah I just started working out, but still hurts to not be able to do some exercises I have always wanted to do (dragon flag mostly...)
On the upside:
>Routine I made for myself has been going great
>Decided to add 1 rep to push ups, dips, and rows in each session
>Hurts, but I can do it
>feels great
>For the first 2 weeks, my abs were fcuked up, sore for the next day
>Now, they arent even that sore after the workout
>Planning on doing progression to THAT FUCKING DRAGON FLAG
A little bit of good feels, and a little bit of bad feels. Thats life. Feels thread /fit/
almost all those bodyweight skills require dedicated and specific training to achieve
Pistol squats are more form than anything. Dragon flags are more repetition same for L sits. Just do flags and l sits at the end of your workout and by November you should be able to do them decently.
For dragon flags do 1 leg at first and not both outstretched. put one foot behind your other knee and do the repetition..it's easier then when your abs get stronger you can use both legs
Stretching your hamstrings is the easiest way to improve L-sit
Im complete shit physique but I can put my palms flat on the ground with straight knees so L-sit is ezmode, dont have to fight against those tight legs.
