Finally decided to get in shape, for a man with a 29BMI how long would it take to get a body like pic.

I plan to do it through dieting, and at home exercises.

for my diet i plan to cut soda (drink around 1.5L/day) and make smaller portions with less junk food

as for exercises, can this kind of body even be obtained at home, or would i need a gym? any techniques, advice or questions welcome.

Or you could read up on nutrition, tailor your diet, sack up and hit the gym. I get the idea of SMART goals and having measureable increments but it's like you're putting in the bare minimum effort here.

Just take daily walks (5 km preferably) and practice caloric restriction.

That will help you loose weight in the beginning but it won't build muscle. Once you have lost excess weight, you can start working out (preferably in a gym).

How much do you weight?
I was almost fat but lost most of it in 2 years. I would say 3 years if you're fucking dedicated to reach the guy in the picture (by doing at least one physical activity every day: run, swim, lift, bodyweight, martial art, climbing... that's the kind of shit I do)

you're a fat fuck right now and you need to take like a year to lose all that weigh. then take like 3 years through a series of bulk/cuts to get the body in the picture. this is involve lifting heavy weights so it depends if you have the equipment to bench/squat/etc at home.
