Not fat but just wanna say I miss being fat

Idk, I miss being hair and fat and sitting at my Xbox all day

:(
>>
So earlier I was eating, as happens occasionally.
Near the end of the meal I felt full and hungry at the same time, is that even supposed to happen? Felt weird.
>>

>>
>>42132623
If I ate any slower, I'd still be eating right now tbqh.
>>
>>42132586
you can also be ripped and sit on your xbox all day. whats the advantage of being fat here ?
>>
>>42132643
I have to workout and maintain my body
Also I feel a lot more self conscious now

I hate my body more than I ever have in my life
Plus I hate my stretch marks I got from lifting and not even being fat ffs
>>
>>42132658
there is always gonna be darkness before you reach the light at the end of the tunnel.

back then you didnt realise your flaws as much, you were delusional and ignorant, now you have realised how far you still have to go. sure it might overwhelm you right in this moment but once you are there it will have been worth it.

And stretch marks arent really a big deal, I had a bunch of them on my arms and back and they fade pretty quickly and arent really visible anymore. its just you being self concious, other people dont care trust me.
>>
does diet soda really make you fat? i heard someone say that it takes the fake sugar from the soda and converts into calories anyways.
>>
>>42132696
I've been lifting since I turned 14, I'm 18 now, have deep red stretch marks over both my arms, both triceps and biceps (worse of biceps)
I literally can't do anything about it.
I don't mind the ones on my ass and hamstrings, or even my back

But the one thing I had going for me is ruined by deep red stretch marks covering almost half the entire bicep.
I've had them 2 years and they only gotten deeper and redder and thicker.

I also don't even like how I look. I basically just do lifts I enjoy at this point, and stopped caring about bodybuilding or anything. Just getting stronger and stuff cause I hate my body anyway.
>>
>>42132721
it just makes you crave sweet things
>>
>>42132721
makes you fat
causes cancer
causes erectile dysfunction
one time i couldn't find any diet soda, so I just ate honey out of a jar like winnie the pooh
whenever you order a diet soda you can see waiters/cashiers doing that "of course YOU want that" face
causes diabetes
destroys teeth enamel and eventually entire teeth
weakens bones
makes people lose their trust in you
>>
I fixed my forward head posture and it made my jaw look worse
>>
>>42132728
figure out the reason why you have them, maybe go see a doctor about them and get advice. there are definitely things you can do against that, I think zinc is good for that sort of stuff and also a lot of other shit can help, do your research.

Once you have found the cause and it doesnt get worse anymore they will heal and then fade, the problem is currently you just seem to make them worse and worse instead of trying to fix them.

hating your body is not healthy, you have your best lifting years ahead of you so dont give up. depending on how fast your body develops you might still not have reached your testosterone peak so from here on out your body still has a ton of potential. the lifting years when you are 14-16 dont really amount to much if you are natty so dont feel so down on yourself for looking average with 4y of lifting. it doesnt work that way, 4y of lifting in your twenties are gonna put a hell of a lot more muscle on you than 4y from 14-18. So dont be so down on yourself, a lot of this might also just be in your head.
>>
>>42132728
It's surprisingly common, why do you think so many meathead get tattoos? To cover their stretchmarks
>>
>>42132832
I literally went to a doctor in desperation this week, he said there is nothing I can do, not even laser surgery for the deep marks I have. He said it would take "many, many years for them to fade".

I am currently cutting and trying to get to as low as a body fat as possible and stay there. Its cause I was 60kg when I started lifting and 100kg at 18, that's why I got them, through lifitng.

I appreciate the last paragraph a lot. I have been very very upset with my progression. Very upset. And I have seen a lot of other people my age, lift less years than me, and a lot bigger than me without any stretch marks. I've felt nothing but small, weak and disgusting.

>>42132857
I don't want one though...

I got my stretch marks from being fat (peaked at 96 kg, about 2 years ago, then maintained ~85 kg for two years), chances are, you got yours from being fat too, and not from lifting. Here's the good news: I'm 73 kg now, and mine have faded, so they aren't red anymore, yours will probably fade too some time after you've reached a healthy weight. But even if they don't, who gives a shit, they are fucking stretch marks, if you have a good body, they will make you look 5% worse at worst.
Also, post pic about the stretch mark covering half your bicep, that sounds strange (although I guess my stretch marks technically cover the inner half of my bicep too).

Eat it raw, but then your body can't get all the nutrients, so the best option is replacing it with a similarly nutritious vegetable that you actually like. Butter and salt seems retarded (assuming it's not a funny joke I didn't get), because overdosing on salt is unhealthy, and you don't want to lose weight at the cost of making your diet more unhealthy in another way.

Yeah no shit, do the maths on the numbers they used holy shit
Say the fasting was 5:2, that's 675% over 7 days which is roughly 96.4% of the weekly calories. Even if the fasting was 3 days, the weekly would still be 82%
Compare that to the 75% daily/weekly, it's a no brainer

Might have been doing intermittent fasting wrong but can't tell. I get back to college next month and I've been full degen mode with my sleep schedule this summer. I wake up between 12-1 pm and go to sleep around 5-7 am. If I eat around 2 or 3 and stop around 9 is it still intermittent fasting? Should I take in my calories more later than the time I wake up? Sorry if this is a retarded question. Posted this in QTDDTOT but was wondering if any other fatties know the answer.

Do you honestly believe this ? Being able to store "left over" energy was an irreplaceble ability back when eating 5000 calories a day wasn't as effortlessly possible as it is today.

Hey /fat/ thought you guys could help me here.

I have been on a diet since March and lost 21 pounds (230 to 209) with no exercise because of the lack of a gym that isn't planet fitness. Tomorrow I'm moving and the place has a decent gym that's a minute walk from my apartment.

Pic related is my back and some of my shoulder. As you can see I have a skin problem. Does exercise fix this? I shower once every morning and wash my sheets once every month.

Any tips or should I see a dermatologist?
>>
Anons, I know you're supposed to weigh yourself in the morning for best results, but should you also avoid eating for some time the day before?
>>
>>42138906
No, just take your morning dump and weigh in before eating or drinking.

Somebody has been recommending "Fishermans eggs" in these threads. I tried it and I am now reporting back to say that indeed they are a great food for weight loss - after I threw half of it up I put the other half in the bin. Holy shit it was a miserable day, I was excited to try it but I suspect the flaw in my plan was that I've never had sardines before. I didn't think I'd ever eat something that actually made me throw up from taste alone
>4 eggs, 2 tins of sardines, chopped half an onion, celery, spring onion and a few herbs
>managed not even half that
>throw up
>throw up again
>oh good its done brush teethNOPE throw up again

Perhaps the best part is that the smell attached itself to my gym clothes that I wore the next day (today) so as I worked out I started to smell like fish, I wasn't particularly impressed.

Yes, because the poop is the food you ate. Instead of not eating, you just eat and then weigh the next morning after dump.

Or not. I don't own a scale specifically to avoid focusing on the number that hard, I just weigh myself at the gym once or twice a week. Weight fluctuates constantly, so just remember not to get hung up if you aren't getting the numbers you want.

You may still feel boredom-hunger but shouldn't be legit hunger. Your focus shouldn't be on restricting the amount of shit food that you eat. It should be on full, healthy meals that leave you full but aren't just a bunch of fat/carbs. A good way to go is lean meats like ground turkey/chicken with veggie mix and a small amount of brown rice. Make sure the veggies take up the majority of the plate. Learn about nutrition and make some good recipes. I find when i have the food available, i tend to eat it.

To me, it wasn't too much weight that gave me the trigger, but general desire to change my life. I didn't like the turn it had taken these past couple years (due to some illness, lost most of my social circles, struggled through higher studies, and ultimately gained something like 50lbs). I think I was facing the wall, a couple months back, when I realized I needed to make some changes. Amongst them, graduated with masters and decided to put a stop to my studies (while I was pressured to go for a PhD) then, decided to follow my heart and move halfway across the world (17000km) to my LDR boyfriend's to live with him, and we both have been going through lots of financial/administrative hurdles to figure out how to make it as I was unemployed, with no support from family. I have not told them yet I am leaving, as my departure won't be welcomed (it's a classic entrapment situation).
So I am taking big risks, but with big rewards in the end.

I bought weights and I managed to exercise at home for a while, but depression and work and medication (which gives me an insane appetite) have destroyed all my hard work. I know I can do it- when I lost the weight before, I went to the gym every other day without exception, even when I had an operation, I never ate more than 1500 calories a day, ever- I never even had a cheat day, not once in six months. So I KNOW I can do it- it's not a question of discipline, because I have that in spades, I just can't do it NOW and I don't know how to fix it.
Pls help?

You don't really need salted water on short fasts (less than 3 days), especially if you're not exercising or walking long distances. It doesn't hurt to take some, though.
>How much salt is too much salt?
Up to 1 teaspoon a day is fine and you don't even need that much. I just put half a teaspoon in a glass or two of water. It obviously doesn't taste great, but it's just salty water.
You'll eventually be low on potassium and sea salt mostly only has sodium. That's where "lite" salt comes in handy. You usually don't need lite salt if you're doing a 1-4 day fast, but it doesn't hurt. Lite salt or potassium is necessary for 5+ day fasts.

Seriously, there are people here that freak out that they won't reach their calorie daily - like, wtf?
You aint gonna lose weight if you're not going to stop eating shit all fucking time

Recommendation for all the fat fucks in here:
Eat lunch like a king (seriously) and don't eat anything after that for 24 hours, rinse and repeat 365 days.
Since you eat that much at lunch you won't have any hunger feeling after that, and the 24 hour fast will force your body to actually use the shit you ate there.
If you're a lazy fuck then can also just order a king size salad with a shitton of fresh bread or something from a pizza delivery service.
They usually have salads and shit which their can deliver to your house

meme diets are basically just dressed up ways to restrict calories. if people don't eat carbs, they tend to eat fewer calories. if people restrict their eating to eight hours a day or fast completely for two days a week, they tend to eat fewer calories. if you manage to overeat on a meme diet, you still gain weight.

Started a little over 5 weeks ago at 380, now 353. This is taking forever.

Day 3/40 of a fast. Down 10 lbs. Feeling bad right now at lunch time; need to find some salt.
>>
>>42141517
That's some solid fucking progress even if some of it is water weight. Keep it up dude, we're all gonna make it.

I'm 6 feet, 220 lbs at 26 and DYEL for years after being an athlete back in high school

Is my TDEE with light/moderate exercise and light lifting really fucking 2900 calories, and I'm supposed to eat around 2400 a day? That seems like way too fucking much. Even 1900 seems like too much.
>>
>>42141640
when calculating you tdee you should write sedentary, no matter how active you. about 2300-2500 seems fine for maintenance, i'd eat around 2000 and see where it gets you. if you don't lose or even gain a pound or two go lower. if you really want to shed weight eat 1500 calories. tdee is only a rough estimate, you have to try and figure out what works best for you

How....? If you're asking how i lost it, CICO is genius in its simplicity. Still eating mcdonalds and tbell all the time, just way smaller portions. You can actually get 2 mcchickens and a small fry for 1000 cals or so, which is a damn decent lunch, then i have 1k-1200 allowed for dinner which is usually home cooked, so i can even have pizza, burgers, etc.

I get that its not the "healthiest" in terms of food quality, but its working.

Dirty cut gang
>>
Could I get some help planning what food to bring to work?

I work nights, 5p.m.-4a.m. - I drive my car all around the city all night (I'm a night time delivery driver)

I need to feed myself for 11 hours. I have a cooler so I can keep stuff cold and just keep it in my backseat.

I'm about to go to Krogers before I go to work here in a couple hours. What food should I get to keep in my cooler?

My daily calorie limit is 2,000
>>
>>42141684
retard eat healthy. you are fucking hamplanet, reducing the amount of gross food you eat is a good start but you will still be obese if you don't change your diet. less obese, but still dying at 40 from diabetes or heart disease obese. plus i bet that the grand majority of weight you lost was water weight.
>>
>>42141745
can you cook? how much time do you have time for cooking, if you can?
Can you prepare food beforehand, without cooking it? What is an average macro ideal for you? Also do you prefer 1 meal + 2 snacks or 2 meals square?
>>
>>42141776
It's 1:10p.m. now and I don't have to be at work till 5p.m. so I got some time to cook for sure!

Macros are to stay under 120g carbs, 65g fat, 100g protein, 2,300 sodium, 70g sugar.

Because it's 12 hours I assume it would be 2 square meals plus some munching snacks like little baby carrots or something?
>>
I lost 12 pounds in a month. That's sad
50 more to go
>>
>>42141806
okay I have to do some IRL stuff first, but I can give you a sketch of an ideal meal plan for you. I'll report back in 30min to an hour.
>>
>>42141857
Ok, that would be great I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for your interest.

Now entering the 240s. I started at 320lbs back in December. Things were slow until i got to the 260s and got better at fasting amd working out.
>>
Macro question
MFP makes it seem like getting fat and carbs is bad, but protein is good.

So am I supposed to always go over my protein intake, while remaining below my carbs and fat? Should I shoot for as high as possible protein and low as possible fat and carbs?

Cameras all have different kinds of lenses and you could look drastically different on two different cameras. Mirrors could have the same effect but probably not as serious.

For the most accurate measurements just use a tailors tape measure and record your waist, gut and other measurements every two to three weeks.

Intermediate fasting and also smoking lots of weed while fasting and working out. If you can learn to fight off the munchies then weed can really help boost the effect of your fasting diet.

Well anon, I did what I could with the amount of knowledge I have. Picture related.
I want to add as a disclaimer that this micro high food list I made is also based on selective picks I made in each category of foods that I like the taste of, as well as foods that overlap different micros for extra combination properties and calorie sparing. Hope this helps.

Source of the website to calculate micros/macros is USDA's food tracker (check out the nutrient intake report tab, under the graph after you input your meals).

and don't forget about the pillowcases dummy, and while everything is in the wash air out your mattress and pillows by the window/on balcony/outside the house. Wash pillows too regularly. And wash the towels you use for each body part, especially your face (and only your face I hope) on the weekly, in very high temperature settings. And use hypoallergenic softener and laundry detergent so that you rule out allergic reaction to the products you currently use.
>>
>>42142482

You are wholly awesome. This is seriously great.

There's a great reward in being able to change a man's life for the better I think, even if it's just by the trickle of a drop of water.
I'll get retribution from you in the fact that you'll apply this knowledge I have gathered (I am not particularly talented, just dedicated) over hours of research, and just mix and match until you find the perfect spots. And then you'll make it, and I'll be happy I helped. My pleasure to help.

nice! Keep working your way up, anon.
Habits stack up and become unbreakable after a while! Just keep at it until it becomes routine, then streamline the whole process, and it'll become a thoughtless meditative act for you.

>>
>>42142844
are you measuring because you want a body fat % estimate? If so, you'd rather invest in a cheap caliper which is far more accurate (albeit less than the expensive bodpod/ampedancometry machines/water displacement tests).
Tape measurement body fat tests vary in formulas, in methodology and do not account for genetic factors such as proportions and bone structure.
Don't even bother with commercial scales that claim to calculate body fat %.

I used to take them daily and was pretty normie, except for being a fat fuck.

Got fired in late March, suffered a health scare, broke up with my gf, and was pretty depressed. I sold my bitcoins in June when it dropped like $300 in one day and now I have enough money to last me like 5 years without having to work at all.

Now I have enough money to last me a few years without working and honestly I'm not sure that's a good thing.

I have the same problem, I have lost a lot of motivation because I expected to have more muscle mass and therefore expected to reach my goal earlier, but now I'm not even sure my abs will be visible at my current goal weight. But even if they will be, they will still look like shit, because I'm not really muscular.

>>
>>42137931

>>
>>42143381
It's still the best way of fixing one's sleep schedule without resorting to taking tablets. It's better than going to sleep earlier every day, because it's harder to fuck up, and just deciding to go to sleep at a given time plain doesn't work, because you'll wake up feeling well rested after 3-5 hours.
>>
>>42143192
Try eating at out slightly below maintenance for a few days, instead of the deep cut implied by your issue. You might feel better.
>>
>>42141993
Well that all depends on how much you want to restrict your carbs. Your body will process excess protein that you don't need into glucose, so unless you're working out a lot you're not going to need the excess. If anything, try to get most of your carbs from vegetables rather than rice/pasta. Like if you're having dinner have a bigger portion of vegetables than your carb.
>>
>>42142304
this. it helps you get more into whatever you're doing and you forget about the hunger
