Excellent time to cut, just do some bodyweight work and eat at a deficit. You'll come back shredded.

Your lifts will go down by 15 lb max. Less if you maintain your caloric needs, don't eat like shit, get enough sleep, sunlight, don't masturbate every day, etc.
I just returned to the gym after taking a month off to rehabilitate my lower back, and surprisingly, the gains are returning quickly. But do maintain your strength by eating well. 1 month is nothing, and from my experience, it'll take you 3 weeks to get back to where you were.

You might as well ask if a month off anything will be a setback.
>Will a month off studying hurt me academically?
>Will a month off work hurt me financially?
>Will a month off eating hurt me physiologically?
>Will a month off smoking benefit me?

1/2 weeks off can actually be beneficial once in a while, a month is too long. At least do some bodyweight stuff and eat right and see if you really can't find a gym wherever you're going.

>including masturbation as a cause of strength deficit

A whole month with no gym fucking how? I live in a 20k population Scottish village and even we have a gym.
Anyway you won't lose much if any strength as long as you don't lose loadsa weight.
T. Guy that injured back in powerlifting comp was off 8 months and almost back to 4 pl8 squat in a month.
