Saw some old powerlift 3s pop up for $45 recently. At that price it's worth it just to try them out and see if you like them. Some people like a raised heel, others like flat heel like a converse, others like squatting barefoot. Do what works for you

I mean not many people here are oly lifting and beat up pair of chucks is fine for your average lifter. But oly shoes are great for squats and front squats, and are pretty much mandatory for oly lifts
