I'm seriously lactose intolerant, and even though people tell me ordinary whey protein powders should have a low enough lactose content for it to be okay, they still give me hideously bad gas and stomach discomfort. Lactose also gives me acne and ruins my face. I would definitely rather get all my protein from meat but I've been working two jobs this summer and it's hard to manage that while still working out. Are vegan protein powders any good? What are the best protein sources, veggie? Pea? Rice? Tofu even? I don't want to gorge on estrogen or hormones either, can I still manage that?

maybe create your own shake with chickpeas, beans and lentils, which are rich in protein, i know it sounds disgusting but i'm sure you'll work something out
Pea protein is something else. Started to dread making a shake, the taste is hard to stomach.
