How does /fit/ train their grip?
I'm currently doing the texas method, and on volume day I do 3 sets of holding the weight I did for romanian deadlifts at top of a deadlift. If I get to a minute I increase the weight by 10 pounds next week.
just do bouldering or manual labor, grip exercises don't work that well because your fingers have lots of weird positions that you won't hit with a barbell or dumbbell
if you insist of doing it the gym way or you have no other option do bar holds or farmer walks like a retard
CoC grippers, deadlifts, towel pull ups.
deadlifts, chin ups, monkeybars
>have desk job
>gym off days spend around 2-3 hours using a grip strengthener
>start with lowest setting for 20 reps per hand
>increase tension until I can only get 10 reps
>do 5 sets at this tension
>drop down to lowest tension, 30 reps each hand
>a good 50 total sets of nothing lower than 10 reps
Haven't dropped a deadlift in months since doing this, plus I get them manual labor forearms while having a desk job.

I got some of those heavyduty grip strengtheners. Use to be able to close the 250lbs one.
since i started doing towel pullups my grip has impressed even my judo instructor so i guess thats a way to do it
I do rack pulls 3x3 hold for 5 secs at 495 then hold 315 for 1 minute overhand on the 315

got some fat gripz™ and they seem to be working pretty damn well, I can seriously feel the extra amount of effort my forearms and fingers have to put in, us them mostly on romanian deadlifts and lat pulldowns as well as all things dumbell

What brand of strengthener do you use?

I do air grippers as hard as I can without pulling a muscle with my arm circles constantly.
Also:
>constantly grab shit really hard
>yank stones out of the ground
>twist off branches
>weed the sidewalk by hand
>climb trees
>pullups every time I go in/out of the bathroom at home
>play catch (baseball, football)
>90lb grip trainer that I squeeze obsessively at work
>actually lift my power bocks and Olympic bar constantly

Lifting heavy things
Dead hangs are both surprisingly effective and under-rated. Once that gets a bit too easy, use towels, and begin unilateral work.
