yo /fit/ does anyone here swim? I lift 4-5 times a week and want to add some cardio into the mix to lower my bf. I enjoy swimming a lot more but I wonder if I should run anyways.
Bumping, because i lift 3 times a week, and swim every other day, i want to lose weight and cant run cause knees are shit.

I feel like some of the olympic swimmers look a little blubbery compared to the runners

depends what you have access to, proper swimming is a fullbody workout, but swimming in cold water burns even more calories

I used to up until my late teens. Quick everyone post your 50m free times.

I like to extend my leg workouts to the pool. Pushing off the wall in the water from side to side. Looks autistic as hell but I don't care.
Swimming is a great cardio exercise. Only reason I stopped is I keep getting swimmers ear, even with ear plugs.
I really enjoy it but it took so many sessions just to get decent technique which is probably still off. Even so I can barely do two 50s without feeling like dying.
I'd like to go swimming but my loose skin would jiggle about in the water like a lava lamp
