Stop smoking them.

>>
Read Allen Carr's How To Quit Smoking the Easy Way - twice, stopping will be easy. The book is incredible - just google PDF
>>
>>42041805
Realize that quitting is easy, and the industry campaigned endlessly to convinvce the world that quitting is difficult in order to keep their customers smoking.

Once you realize it's easy, quitting is a breeze. Same goes for any vice. Just quit and stop being a little bitch.

Vaping helps if you don't mind doing it in the long run.

There are some pills that inhibit nicotine or some shit like that for a more immediate solution. Talk to your doctor.
>>
>>42041805
your dad makes you smoke the whole pack at once down to the filters then you get sick and never want one again
>>
>>42041805
Force yourself to smoke after you have vomited after binge drinking or are close to vomiting. Trust
>>
Vape. Start with the stronger nicotine liquid. Then dial it down to nothing over a few months.
>>
I succeeded for the time now, been smoking for 11 years, was at 30 a day ( 60+ when drunk/parties).
I took two weeks off my job and locked myself in my house, only leaving to go for runs and lift.

Smoke these instead. Stop buying into the tobacco Jew.
>>
>>42042099
Not op, don't smoke cigs cause I'm not gey, but is it true weed can cause gyno? I am making a lot of money rn and I have some to waste on drugs, but I don't wanna get manboobies from getting high.
>>
>>42042099
DUDE WEED LMAO
>>
>>42042361
Better than tobacco
>>
>>42041805
It's simple. You stop buying them. You can't smoke if you don't have any. After a few weeks you should be fine. You should avoid alcohol too because it will increase your urges, even months later, and makes you more inclined to not care and go buy a pack.
>>
>>42042481
>>42041851
These. No matter how much you wanna go out and buy a pack, you just don't. Pace back and forth while shitposting on 4chan on your phone if you want, just don't go out and buy them. Give it a month and your mind will reset itself.

Also, I assume your a man. IDK how long you've been smoking cigarettes but the 1 thing that got me to stop was the shrinkage of my dick. Took at least a good 1.5-2 inches off. Noticed it when my morning woods weren't as stiff as they'd usually been.

This, I still use nicotine thought, its like 95% less harmful though, and the stress reduction helps.
>>
>>42041851
Same desu. Former smoker. You'd be surprised how fucking effective it is to just say to yourself "I want a cigarette but fuck you I'm not smoking one" when you have craving hit. Deeps breaths like when you smoke, self awareness and control and just fucking go for it. Stop aids help I guess but fuck the most important thing is the conviction and the Nutsack to just sit down and say "I'm fucking done". Dont Vape it's a meme. Just fucking stop smoking. Be a better you.
>>
>>42041834

>>42041876
maybe you're not thinking about it enough? I read it 3x preparing to quit, now I want to meditate on it as I commit to a plan. even if I break and buy a pack later, it no longer takes me 5 false starts to kick into a handstand any more. same thing, but measured in weeks rather than seconds.

>>42041891
lies. vaping dramatically increases the nicotine addiction and lets you trick yourself into thinking it's acceptable again.

>>42042537
good plan. the dick thing is a good point. thinking about the dirtiness of big tobacco also helps get into the mindset of, "someone profits off my suicide, yet I feel the need to continue with it despite living in a chronic state of forcing my body to reject poison."
>>
>>42042169
Never heard of this. Don't think it's true, since I don't know what could cause weed to give u mantits?
>>
I'm the only one I know that has quit this way, but I quit based on location.

First I stopped smoking in my car. I could still smoke anywhere else, but not in my car, not while driving. So I could have a cigarette before leaving work and then have a cigarette once I got home, but not during the drive between. For long car rides, I could pull over if I needed to. This was really easy and I don't think I had a single failure, but I also don't think I smoked any less.

Second I stopped smoking at home. This was much harder, but if I really craved a cigarette, I could go out somewhere, but it was a hassle, especially if I wanted a cigarette in the middle of the night. Eventually I started going out less and less as the cravings became less severe and I naturally smoked less.

Then I quit smoking at work. This was probably the hardest step because you're locked in at work and it can be stressful. I'm sure I failed a few times, but for the most part, I just stopped and eventually stopped associating work with smoke breaks.

Then I stopped smoking everywhere else. By this point, I was only smoking a few cigarettes a day anyway. It was hardest at bars (back when you could still smoke in them), but everywhere else was relatively easy.

>>42041805
start by trying to restrict smoking till the afternoon
the first smoke of the day is the easiest one to postpone
so keep postponing the first smoke over a timespan of about 5-6 weeks
at one point you'll only be smoking at night
when you feel confident enough about the time you smoke, reduce the number of cigs you smoke
Start by declining each 1st cig out of 4
So for each 4 cigarettes you smoke, you leave one in the pack (so you smoke only 3)
up the ante to 1/3., and finally 1/2
By this time, you will be smoking about 2-3 cigarettes a day, and only at night
then, one day you'll find yourself lighting a smoke and asking yourself why you even lit it
you won't even enjoy it
you'll find it easy to put it out, not even finishing it
you'll find it easy to throw out the rest of the pack with the trash at that point
you won't crave another smoke for the rest of the night
or the next day
or the day after
good luck anon
keep in mind, this takes about 2-3 months, but it's highly successful
>>
>>42042708
So you're admitting that your argument is as meaningful as a Christfag tipping his fedora? Thanks for outing yourself.

quitting cigarettes is easy. just do cardio and spend 30 min every other day in the sauna for like a week.

you'll sweat out the addiction. quitting porn is much much harder

>>42042839
>>42041891

It helped me. I reduced my nicotine intake a lot over 2 years and then quitted smoking.
>>
>>42043072
congrats, man. my mind rejected e-cigs as a dangerous scam the first time I saw one over 5 years ago. it merely seems like a slightly different set of rationalizations at this point, so I'll do allen carr's easy way until I'm fed up with the bullshit.

>do you find that app helps
Seeing how much money I've saved as well as my health continuously improve is helping me over this 3 day hump. Reinforces why I'm quitting.
>>
Step one: You actually have to WANT to quit. If you're going it for any reason or anybody else, you will fail.

Step two: Remove all tobacco products and paraphernalia from your house, car, work, anywhere you spend an extended period of time

Step three: Cut smokers out of your life. They have a crab bucket mentality and will bring you down

Step Four: Identify your triggers and remove them from your life or find another way to process them than smoking

Step five: Remain active.
>>
>>42044075

I've been quitting chew for about a month now. And every time i relapse after I hit the gym/swimming pool I feel so good that I go to the gym consecutively for 10 days and I feel great. Then one day I get lazy and skip the gym. Then all of those feelings of negativity and depression come back then I'm driving to the gas station and picking up a tin.

I've found that the swimming pool is Probably my favorite exercise. Feel bad that I wasn't on the swim team in high school

1. Reduce number of cigarettes per day
2. Switch to nicotine gum
3. Switch to regular gum

That's it. Worked for me. If I feel like smoking then I just chew some gum now.
>>
>>42041805
Start vaping with nicotine (about 3mg). Lower the nicotine over time. Then stop vaping. It's the most painless way and works if you have at least a bit of willpower.

Uncles and Dad quit smoking after fucking 40 years. Used champix or champax. They swear by that shit it really works. 3rd day cravings disappear apparently , or at least it did with them.
>>
I've been done with cigarettes for 4 months, second time quitting.
Only advice is, if you need to compensate with food, do indulge yourself for the first days/weeks, but you need to consciously develop better compensation mechanisms (gum, gym, runs, whatever).
Putting on a bit of weight isn't that bad. After all, the only reason smoking isn't as shameful as eating too much is that lungs are not visible, and losing a few kg isn't an issue.
But you can't just switch cigarettes for food in your addicted mind, or else you'll end up on FPS threads.
>>
>>42041805
Not sure where you live but in Australia they are expensive as fuck and I'm still a student so I just looked at how much I was wasting. Quit and spent half that money or something else each week (going out to dinner, rock climbing etc.) and saved the other half
>>
>>42042911
This.

Reduction and being mindful everytime you want one is key. Look at what you're doing and pay attention to physical/mental cues.

It's like walking on hot coals. When somebody surprises you and pushes you on them it sucks, but if you see it coming it's painless.

Be mindful.
>>
Honestly, I just quit cold turkey. I dunno any other way.

I wont say it's easy but for sure this is the only way I can quit addiction.
>>

>>
>>42041805
>>42041805
I'll tell you how to stop.
I have quit smoking cigarettes years ago.

It's easy to do, you only have to become aware of one simple thing:

There is NO benefit at all from smoking cigarettes.
Like if you smoke weed, at least you get a (nice) high.
But Cigarettes?

- bad lungs
- bad breath
- stinky clothes
- uglier skin
- it affects digestion
- throat and mouth
- teeth
- it's expensive

do I need to go on?

Really the first few days are hard but that's it.
It's more about breaking the routine of smoking at certain cues than it is about withdrawal and nicotine craving really.

decide a day you want to quit.
smoke your last cigarette the evening before quitting day.
go to sleep.
wake up and never buy a pack of cigarettes again.

You might relapse a few times when a cue comes up. Like when you are with your smoking friends, or when you are out having beer.

Yes, you might bum one smoke from someone.
But don't see that as "oh I failed time to buy a new pack of smokes"
Just never ever buy a new pack of smokes and you are good on your way to quitting.

Seriously, vaping saved my life. I was a 2 pack a day smoker (I'm on the east coast of Canada so they're like $15 a fucking pack to). Vaping was the only thing that worked for me and I tried everything short of hypnotism, because it's bull shit. If you can get past the fact that every one will call you a douche bag just because you vape, it's the perfect alternative.

I personally tried quitting smoking several times and failed all ranging from one week to 8 months. Eventually I just stopped craving them besides when I'm drinking around smokers so I bum one maybe once a month. Aside from that I never smoke. I still think about it sometimes but TFC after a long break tastes like shit anyway.

No, not really. Tobacco is merely a detriment to your health directly. A very minor one if used in moderation. Weed can cause unhealthy eating habits, laziness, early onset of dememtia, alzheimers, schizophrenia, and is also bad for your lungs due to being an inhalant. While less diectly linked to a specific physical malady weed has a number of unhealthy psychological drawbacks.

You are drawing hefty conclusions such as "weed causes x" from studies that say "weed use is associated with x".

People who suffer from afflictions like depression, anxiety, and ADHD are likely to self-medicate with cannabis. And in many cases it helps them live a better life.

Disclaimer: Cannabis is not for everyone.

vaping. The only thing that worked for me. It's way easier to quit vaping than to quit smoking. It's like a baby step. You can start at 12 mg, then step down to 6 then step down to 3 then step down to 0.
I started at 6 and went down to 3 after a month or so.

Best money I've ever spent and best decision I've ever made.

I quit randomly around a month ago, here's how I did it

I switched to rolling tobacco as I liked it more, over the period of 6 months I noticed how my body craved less and less cigarettes, I still felt addicted but not the same way, I only needed around 4~5 cigarettes a day unlike 10 regular ones I needed before. I guess this has to do with the fact that they purposely put shit into the regular ones

Last month I forgot to buy tobacco so I put rolling paper and filters in my closet and somehow completely forgot. I was studying for a test and for a weak I didn't even realize I wasn't smoking, after I realized I just decided not to buy tobacco again

I probably won't stop smoking 100% and will still occasionally buy tobacco, but man this made me realize how much addictive shit they purposely put in regular cigarettes

the only way to change a habit is to associate enough pain to something. think of all the damage you are doing to yourself and to others that love you. picture your lungs like the spotted deflated old man balloons that they are. imagine losing all of your teeth and having the voice of a diner server woman named sally. imagine the crows feet of your eyes as the smoke destroys your skin and makes you age 10x faster. imagine having a hoarse laugh and wheezing and couching just because of something funny made you laugh. imagine the constant smell of farts that envelopes your smell as you light up a cigarette.

now imagine that all of that can be erased by simply quitting.

i did this and havent smoked in 1 year

This just blew my fucking mind.

It's so goddamn simple. Smoking companies fund anti-smoking commercials, which are really memey and cringey on purpose to make the people who aren't fundie babies actually NOT want to stop smoking. We're told it's difficult to stop so we have an excuse to not stop too.

Goddamn I've been shilled, I'm smoking right now as a type this, my last cigarette of the pack. Literally all I need to do is put away my ash tray and not by any more.

God damn it.

it's like being an alcoholic, once you start smoking regularly you will always be a "smoker"

you have to choose everyday not to smoke, the same way an alcoholic chooses to not drink everyday. the addiction is already there, you have to fight it every damn day

Dont listen to this anon. The mind is a powerful things. Your thoughts and words mold how you think and feel.

Believing and saying "I'll always be a smoker" only invites bad things and hurts your mentality.

Think "I USED to be a smoker, but those days are over and you now dont even consider smoking." This pushes you to be better and takes away the "I guess I'm just a smoker at heart" excuse.
It'll take some time to get used to since you'll be at a mental battle with yourself for a while, but this line of thinking will help you in all aspects of life.

3rd day is the worst. It is still difficult for a long time after you quit, but you'll be glad you did.
It's like gains. It's easier than you think, and after about 6 months, you'll lose desire all together (but after the 3rd day it gets easier and after a couple weeks, you're doing great).

Just stop. Throw away that pack right now. Never buy another. You can do it and the only ones saying you can't are the ones selling cigarettes in the first place.

I could do it, and I'm sure anyone can.

Remember what you get out of quitting
It's a journey that's hardest only in the beginning

The next time you want to smoke a cigarette -- don't

You're thinking of chantax

Fun fact, it's an antidepressant. It's not meant to help you stop craving, it's meant to make you not feel sad about wanting cigs

Ahh yes, bio chemistry isn't a think. Physical addiction isn't true. Science is a lie

I just quit recently.

For me, integrity is important. So I just told someone I care about I was going to quit and had to hold myself accountable so I quit. My word is gold and some fucking plant wrapped in paper isn't going to make my word not gold.

I'm 6 days from my last cigarette and have broken the spell. I don't want another.

the physical aspect of the nicotine addiction is pussy-tier. heroin addicts start vomiting in a cold sweat from withdrawal, but smokers feel slightly hungry and irritable.

the problem is that some of the most powerful interests in society have for centuries built up an enormous propaganda framework for the purpose of selling more tobacco.

where do you think the "cigarette after sex" myth comes from, and who stands to profit from it? people didn't evolve to crave nicotine after they fucked. someone had to create a trope and circulate it in society.

ween off them while slowing alcohol consumption
hardest part is quoting your friends and social life
because those will also be triggers
