How does one quit caffeine? I've had a crazy high metabolism and have been told caffeine is the only thing keeping me skinny. How do I quit it? Imagine not a single day without at least two cans of soda. How fucked am I? Am I no longer water and now 70% Mountain Dew? Seriously what's my life like without caffeine gonna be?

Eat more faggot. Caffeine is god tier. I drink a scoop of stimul8 in the morning instead of coffee. 300mg+other stims. If i wana bulk, I just eat more. So eat more.

Drink liquid calories and eat garbage that doesnt fill you up if you're a real hardgainer.

you're gonna feel sleepy and grumpy for up to a week and then it's slowly gonna go back to normal, i suggest you cut down gradually, and only then quit altogether, it's gonna make your withdrawal symptoms way more manageable

Caffeine will probably help you burn an extra 5 calories an hour while doing cardio so stop using it as an excuse and eat more.

Not a chance. You have to be consuming a lot of damn caffeine for it to have substantial impact on your metabolism. More likely is that you don't eat much already and the appetite suppression from caffeine helps you to eat less.
As far as life without as much caffeine, you might find yourself sluggish and irritable for about a week or so. Caffeine is mildly addictive so you'll have mild withdrawal symptoms. After about 7-10 days you should probably feel fine again

cutting caffeine was the best thing I ever did from a health and fitness perspective. I quit cold turkey. If you cut it cold turkey too, it's gonna be pure hell for the first couple of days. But after about 2 weeks you generally won't miss it. I was consuming up to 14 cans of Mountain Dew and/or Pepsi a day before I stopped and I don't miss it at all. Next March is gonna be 6 years since my last actual soda. Tried coffee since then as well as a soda-themed beer but they both gave me a terrible migraine so now I have incentive to not pick it back up.

quit four weeks ago. Let me tell you this, it's fucking hard. I've "quit" once before, from 26 cups of instant a day (and a fuck tonne of monster), to nothing: that was the absolute worst.

This time, from 8 cups of instant a day to nothing. It's hard at first, there's the impulse towards it, so I substitute with caffiene free tea and a lot more water (Buy a water bottle, and put it near you at all times, you'll drink it).

I think the misconception is that you NEED it to function, it's honestly not that helpful, just quit it in one fell swoop, then substitute with tea and water, waning off of tea eventually as well if you want. You'll be tired, you might get severe withdrawal symptoms if you drink a lot, they're not fun but they're manageable.

Day 1 = Take 3 Excedrin tablets spread throughout the day

Day 2 = 2.5

Day 3 = 2

Etc, etc.

This will help you avoid the nightmare headache.

I quit caffeine about 18 months ago and have never looked back.
