Are there any reasons to not take creatine / potential harm it can do to your body?

hair loss
No.
The hair loss meme is based one ONE (1) study with a tiny sample size of eleven (11) SIMILAR males all who play a sport (rugby) that self selects for males with a high DHT sensitivity because the trait lends itself to a physique that is great for the sport.
The results of which showed that during the study (which did not control for factors such as intensity, frequency or style of training, all which affect DHT levels) the males DHT levels rose slightly, which means more hair shedding ONLY IN MALES GENETICALLY PREDISPOSED TO MALE PATTERN BALDNESS.
So no, creatine does not cause hair loss. It MAY (a very big may) be a factor in a factor of causing slightly faster hair loss in those with male pattern baldness.

Creatine isn't anabolic.... you'll still be 100% natty

what's more is studies don't show elevated serum dht levels being responsible for androgenic alopecia. an easy example without even looking at studies would be to observe aging men who typically produce less test and dht yet are frequently balding. if high serum dht levels were the cause you'd expect old men to more commonly have have a full head of hair.
