Skinnyfat here. I'm 5'10 and 155 lbs. Why is it that if I go on a calorie deficit on days I don't work out I can see myself gain fat and lose muscle right away? You'd think my body would wanna ditch the gut before muscles, but fuck if I know.

I feel like no matter what I do my belly and face get chubbier.

If you eat right and work out, even on a deficit, you'll keep your muscle mass.
If you eat right and work out, on a surplus, yes you'll gain some fat but the point is to gain muscle as well. After that worry about your cut. At least this way you'll have muscles under that bit of fat to show off after your cut.

I feel like some days I've only gotten a bit less than 1500 calories, and I've been at work for 14 hour days sitting on my ass and I feel like I'm gaining fat and losing my muscles. I'm losing weight, yet gaining fat and it doesn't make sense.

I know I can bench a plate 5 times in a set. I think my body fat is in the high teens, with fat only in my gut and face. I'm not totally weird looking though because I have decent arms and body in general compared to most DYEL skinnyfat anons here.

Also, I don't really diet on purpose necessarily, I more just tend not to eat a lot on days I don't get a chance to exercise, and my work schedule being retarded lately, I haven't been going in. I eat an okay diet, low fat meats, not much grain, a banana or two, and veggies like peas.
