Are there really any negative side effects to cracking your neck, back, and fingers?
no don't think so but I wouldn't do it since it's pointless

>pointless

All my shit clicks and snaps by itself so I dunno. One time I woke up with a terrible pain in my left trap (?) whenever I moved my head. I was no joke close to tears until I bit down on a cloth, braced myself and then gave my neck a mighty big crack which made the pain lessen. So yea, maybe it's good for you but ti feels good so do it anyway.

Anecdotal, but I've been doing it for 15 years or so: Fingers, toes, back, neck. Nothing so far.
Probably doesn't do anything to help you though.

It's just popping fluid bubbles between your joints so I don't see why it would be bad for you. In fact I think it could be good for you to take this pressure off of your joints.

"Cracking knuckles does not appear to cause or worsen arthritis, but it can soften the grip and lead to soft tissue swelling."

Pretty much this.
But some research shows a correlation between neck cracking and likelihood of a future stroke

outdated information. is not linked to soft tissue swelling

because you can dissect your carotid artery cracking your neck. nothing to do with joint cracking itself.
btw, any site saying we aren't sure why is wrong, filmed MRI has been performed recently that showed the bubbles appearing and exploding in the synovium. it is indeed microbubbles.

they cracked their knuckles more because they had soft tissue swelling
