your face on your last rep of The Press™

>UUUUUUUH
I was shaking like a motherfucker on my last one today. I hit 90 lbs. Third week of SS. Somehow that 90 lbs is more challenging than the 250 lb deadlift I did afterward.
Baby weights, but I'm still proud of my progress.

Good job anon!
>>41995440
Pretty much pic related, but with puffed cheeks.
>>41996305
Hey, it's something. Don't beat yourself up over it. If you keep at it with consistent programming, good nutrition, and de-loads when you stop making progress, you'll get numbers of the gods.

Thanks. I'm starting phase 2 next week. OHP now requires micro loading, bench soon will as well, and my deadlift has begun improving 5 lbs only every other workout.
My gym has no rubber plates and I'm building up strength in preparation for doing a hypertrophy routine after (Candito LP) rather than planning on going into power or Olympic lifting, so my plan was to substitute rows for the power clean. Anybody have experience with this? I already know purists will say not to substitute, but that ship has sailed. I was going to do Pendlay row to preserve the explosive aspect of that section of the workout. Good idea or would a normal bent over row be more beneficial?

I always throw up by overheating.

Congrats, dude. Just keep at it.
We're all gonna make it

>>41996305
shaking can be a good sign
when i first started wrestling in highschool i shaked like a motherfucker ever practive
after two years my arms were massive and i was in great shape
>>41997435
That's the BEST fucking feeling. Gotta dog deep for that shit.
mfw pressing that shit to the top
Serious question. Is it normal to feel like Im gonna pass out on the last rep of OHP? I feel like Im losing conciousness and dizzy, and I have to grip hard to something (like the rack) to not fall to the ground after grinding that last rep (or failing it)
>>42002030
Keep your chest up, shoulders tight and remember exhaling on each rep. Stance also plays an important role, be solid. Push your head through on each rep, keeping your face behind the bar throughout the movement might be a factor leading to dizziness. Atleast thats what i've experienced.
Rate my OHP form?
Im this guy btw >>42002030

I do power cleans and rows, just on different days. You should give it a go

>>42002050
What do you mean shoulders tight? I don't understand that part
>>42002135
looks breddi gud anon, what weight is that?
>>42002371
75 kgs, my bodyweight was about 99 kgs back then, I have cut already to 93ish keeping those 75x3
>>41996305
Lol this scene was pure trash. They should have just had him have a scene where he masturbated since that's all the point of this fucking godawful part of a pretty bad movie.
>>41996305
Shit 5x5? I can squat 240, do 10 chinups @ 200lbs, and bench 185 but I can only OHP 90...
Do I just have super weak shoulders?
>>41996305
I started 40kg ohp last workout and could only do 5/5/5/4/3
4th set my right arm fully extended after a good 10 seconds of pushing up but my left arm still had like 2 inches of extension to go and i just couldn't force it up that last little bit. Waa super frustrating but I tried my absolute hardest so it still felt like a great workout. Final set i couldn't even push it up past my forhead on the 4th rep.
>>41997435
>people stare because i talk to myself and tell myself to get the fucking weight up while red faced
>>41998898
Literally my face because for some reason i purse my lips and "blow" out when pushing the limit
>>41995440
>>42002135
Start from a deadstop at the bottom, what you're doing is the equivalent of bouncing. It's not bench, put it on your clavicular, breathe in and press.
good thread op

This is the true test of a man. Do you even lift?
>>42004477
I can ohp my bodyweight of 90kg. Does this mean I should weigh 100kg when I attempt the 2plaet press ?

Making it, dude. You've got your priorities straight.
>>42007332
Entirely dependent on anthropometry. If your forearms are vertical at the bottom of the lift and your elbows are slightly in front of the bar, you are using proper form. This may mean the bar floats above the collar bones, if you have long forearms.
>>42007849
>t. Forearmlet
>>42008107
Wut? I have long forearms, so for me the bar floats at mid neck when my arms are aligned properly. Are you a brainlet?
>>42002135
Wow that's as much weight as Brad Dingleberry lifts.
