Honestly anon much like the other anons who answered you said, it's about changing your relationship with food. Now I'm not one to throw the first stone because I have sinned, I still "crave" certain delicacies, but I never go about with fulfilling the impulse. And that's the deal with temptation. It's not wrong to be tempted (though it is inefficient and risk-inducing), but it's wrong to comply and go on with the motion.
So as long as you contain yourself from relapsing into those unhealthy foods, you'll be alright. And for fuck sake, add some variety to your diet...You don't have to eat solely chicken and rice. Get to experimenting in the kitchen, look up new recipes, you can eat healthy and hit macros/calorie goals with something other than the classic chicken/rice/broccoli.

Hey it's the guy from the last thread who chemically burned his scrotum by falling asleep with the wrong skin that had alcohol or acid in it. I just want to vent that my dad refuses to take me to get it checked out. He angrily yelled that "it's just a rash you can't burn your genitals with alcohol that makes no sense". What an ass. He just has to make drama where there isn't any. He has 6 days off work he has all the time to take me. Now I am going to have to make him angrier until he takes me.

anyone miss being a child? I remember eating a whole bowl of cereal and not giving a fuck about the consequences. back then consequences are things that happened to adults,not kids. Now whenever I eat something I think about the long term and the health benefits of that food.

Please tell me there is a noticeable visual difference between the left (75.5 kg) and the right (74 kg). I'm getting scared now that I'm close to my goal and I don't really see that many changes after losing a kilo. Also, how much weight do you think I have to lose to have abs? My estimate is ~4 kilos.

How does one get over leg day. I swear leg day is the worst for me. I'll be sore for 3 days afterwards no matter how much ibuprofen I take. I still workout those 3 days but I'm definitely not always able to give 100%. I only maybe do 1-2 leg days a month. I guess I should be doing more?

What is your injury? Is it long term?
your best bet is to swim and you might get to ottermode. It's the lowest impact form of exercise on joints, and bone structure.
If your injury is short term, pick up lifting as soon as you can. Otherwise, swim, run, bike, there's plenty of things to do that add muscle mass with albeit lower efficiency than lifting.

none as this is a false question, the truth is you are a skinny fat, with little muscle mass and as a result you won't get abs from purely losing weight, because your core is weak (as evidenced by the presence of visceral fat on the belly on the right). You have to train your core to build muscle mass in the abdominal belt, in order to see abs at your weight or lower.
So forget about seeing abs at the end of your cut. Just swim and do some core exercises focusing on the abdominals and obliques.

When I lost the weight I figured out my target date and stuck to it. I figured out how many lbs per day I'd need to lose to get there (so obviously 0.1 or whatever it was) and compared where I should be to where I was each day. Obviously weight fluctuates with water and such, but it gave me a pretty good idea of how I was doing and kept me pressured and motived. Set a reasonable goal and stick with it. Oh and enjoy the journey. It's about learning as you go and figuring out how you are going to eat for life.

The way I see it, by thinking through healthy decisions regarding nutrition, fitness, exercise in general, you're technically bettering your life standards (for the long term, if you stick to it), and that my friend, is like going back to childhood. Why? Because in the fittest, healthiest shape of your life, you'll feel invincible like a child, and the things that you aspired to before, like that bowl of cereal, really only represented the state of bliss a child feels from being a growing, striving human being that has yet to reach it's highest peak. But you're still on the way there, if you try...So don't lose hope in going back to simpler times, because you'll have chosen a life of no consequences health wise and that is like going back to being a child.

Yeah I get that, I kinda meant reaching the bf% at which people usually have well defined abs. I started doing ab exercises recently, because I kinda knew that would be the case. I just want to reach low bf% first to be able to see my ab gains over time in the future, as opposed to staying at my current bf% and wondering when I will have gained enough muscle to start cutting.
I've been biking 3-4 times a week for the last couple months btw, and been doing HIIT once a week (sprints). I will go back to running after I'm done losing weight, and I've been thinking of swimming, since running and cycling don't help me build muscle on my upper body in my experience, and I don't want to be T-rex mode.

I finally made it lads. I hit my weight goal, and no sign of flab at all on me. Feels fucking great. Never going to let myself become fat ever again.

If anyone is curious about my routine, I ate 12 eggs and drank 3 protein shakes per day. I drank a lot of water and had lots of coffee (With 0 calorie Stevia liquid sweetener, none of that deceptive splenda shit). Lifted 5-6 days a week.

I've never been happier. Not to mention my dick works properly now and have no problem getting and maintaining erections (Don't pick up smoking ever). Thanks, /fat/, I couldn't have done it without this general to help encourage me everyday

I only managed such drastic weight loss by doing a really extreme series of experiments on myself, mostly water fasts, juice fasts, keto, IF 18:6 to 23:1 and now OMAD, about a 600-800 calorie deficit, and HIIT cardio+Lifting.
I've been through hell at first, didn't know what I was doing, but I figured out what worked and stuck to it. Just experimented really.
I'm ready to get done with this cut, and going to much healthier, fuller bulking proportions, not to eat more honestly, but to be able to have enough energy to lift heavier and build muscle.
I feel like cutting is just the hardest part.

Hi fatties! I was once 392lbs. I'm 205lbs (height is 6'4) right now but got as low as 194lbs during my transformation. One thing I can say is that this requires a lifestyle change to keep it off. Please build good habits and work on improving your relationship with food. Also lift heavy. You want to build as much muscle as you can on your frame so that you skin can attach to something once the fat that it's clinging onto goes away.

Using this thread to keep myself accountable because I still fall off the wagon and I still have goals. A lot of you motivate me believe it or not because I was once in your position and at times have lost the will power that you guys display. Keep it up~

Me now at 205lbs. My relationship with food has actually gotten worse since I've moved to Chicago (originally from Kentucky). I'm 26 right now. I was at 194lbs when I was 24. So about 2 years.I spent most of that time sitting at 200-203lbs and just maintaining my body weight and getting stronger and slowly recompositioning my body which I was pretty successful at because I look much different not at 205lbs then I did 2 years ago at 200lbs. A lot of muscle was gained and a lot of fat was dropped.


If I would of tracked my calories and made sure to eat at a caloric surplus to purposely gain weight and continue to lift heavy I'm sure I would be bigger than I am now but gaining weight has always been a huge mental block for me that I'm working on conquering so that I can actually eat more to get bigger, see my weight go up and not freak out and think I'm getting fat again and then cut my calories and sabotage my bulk.

Best of luck to you on bouncing back from your cut. It probably feels like the longest cut ever.

cardio in itself is not bad. it's a good exercise for cardiovascular health which is really important long run. But on the specific topic of fat loss and muscle gain, it has different benefits and inconvenients.
HIIT cardio is targetting primarily fat loss by burning an extensive amount of calories throughout the day after exercise. Better done fasted (in the morning or not). However when your goal is to build muscle, you're going to want to allocate a reasonable amount of caloric resources to the synthesis of muscle tissue and cells, so doing too much cardio is counter productive in the sense that you can not afford to spare some calories to be burned.
Research suggests not more than 15min of HIIT 3 times a week is sufficient to maintain good cardiovascular health. Doing more should only be for the purpose of fat loss.
LISS is unecessary and obsolete as it requires extended amount of time to produce a result that is achieved through continued effects of HIIT during the day.

Same here friend, lost 40 pounds in 3 months. The only thing is after a vacation to Cali, I plateaued HARD for like 3 weeks, and messed up one week. Here I am, one month later and one pound heavier. Alright /fat/, now that I've gone through the first year of uni, I noticed yesterday when I randomly decided to weigh myself that I was 7kg lighter than I was the last time I did it ( which was pretty much the same time last year ).

Now, 7kg in a year is pretty much just seasonal loss over winter, but fuck me if that hasn't gotten me motivated to squeeze more. Today I've organized a diet and tomorrow I'll get a routine together.

gj mate. I've gone from around ~295 to 235 since may but a lot of that just flew off because I was such a fat fuck to start with. It's started plateauing now and it's frustrating as fuck, I have to be an absolute nazi about staying in my deficit or it's a week's progress up the spout. Feels amazing to walk around thinking 'yeah I know I'm working on it' rather than 'yeah I know I should kill myself' though so that's nice.

Yeah I refrigerate those babies, for extra crisp freshness and a icy sorbet like temperature, always keep at least 2 melons in the house (4 days worth of dessert) and currently have half of a massive watermelon in the fridge, and a little one for back up in the fruit basket. I'm literally going to eat it for the rest of the summer until it's no longer in season.

16g of sugars for half (200g) a cantaloupe + 16.8g of sugar for a 280g watermelon slice, according to mfp. that's 32.5g of natural sugar.

I've read somewhere that for natural sugars (not added sugars) the daily cap for intake as an adult is 67g. Also reading up on the sugar intake recommendations, I found out what AHA says about it :

This makes me vomit, just thinking about the teaspoons of actual sugar...I've not touched a sweet for a couple months now, and never really was a fan. My guilty pleasure were savory foods.

Considering the fact that these two pieces of fruit are my only source of sugar (no added sugars), I think I am doing pretty good on this lifehack of melon/watermelon.

Anybody notice a short, week long balloon up when you stat cutting

It's pretty much institutionalized eating disorders anon, it's common for people to be fat and these people tend to stay with their own kind, meaning they think thinner people are unhealthy or have "no meat on their bones".
This is exacerbated when someone they know loses weight because it's such a sudden change.
It could be they are jealous, but I like to think when I went through this it was less malicious and more ignorance couple with society being okay with fatties but being SO CONSCIOUS of people who get a little too thin.
