This really is the truth. I squat 455, bench 275 (lol), and deadlift 585 at about 190 lbs and 5' 11". I look moderately swole in a shirt that fits right. Decent arms, big back (115 lb weighted pull-up), but I look pretty shit from the front. My chest and shoulders look underdeveloped. I fell for the "compounds are good enough for abs" meme for too long. Even when my bf% is low, my abs don't pop like they should. My arms look better, since I started implementing in more arm work previously. I also see differences in my delts after doing more lateral raises. But I really gotta hit chest more.

If you have great genetics, you can probably look great just from focusing on SBD + rows and pull-ups, but I think most normal fags need more than that to look decent.
