One of the best bodybuilding foods, period.

Incredible macros. Certainly much better than yogurt which is basically just cottage cheese with a ton of sugar dumped in.

To add some favor just put a little honey on top.
>>
Cottage cheese is GOAT food for gainz. Fuck whey powder. I have some 200g cottage cheese b efore workout and some skir afterwards. Perfect
>>
>>41904484
>>41904641
what are some ways to eat it besides just spoonfuls? what are some simple recipes to add it to?
>>
200g pasta
200g cottage cheese
150g cubed bacon

Enjoy the gains
>>
>>41904829
I make a mash of:

Chicken breast
Cheddar cheese
Bacon pieces
Cottage cheese
Shredded carrots
Yogurt ranch

I'm an ex-fatty, so it's reminiscent of a comfort food, except with much better macros.
>>
Great food for eating pre-bed because it contains casein protein.
>>
>>41904423
Missing something? Yes, add dill and cucumber m8.
>>
Cottage cheese, stevia, Peanut butter (even the powdered no-fat kind for extra brotein). Eat it with a banana. Shit is delicious
>>
Cottage cheese is pretty great

There are recipes where you can use it to make protein pancakes, also if you're creative you could add it to a smoothie (provided your smoothie has enough other flavors to outweigh the cottage cheese flavor)
>>
Any place where there is a sizable eastern European community, particularly Polish, you should be able to get dry press cottage cheese which doesn't have the cream stirred in or other thickeners that make it goopy. With dry press is a much more versatile food from a culinary perspective. When I lived in the south and couldn't get it I'd make it myself with milk and rennet. Takes a bit of time but dead easy plus you get all the whey for smoothies etc...
>>
>>41904829
I like to put some of it in an omelette, I find the cottage cheese really takes on a great fried cheese flavour that way.
>>
who here /GOCCAD/
>>
>>41908260
i do this with cinnamon instead of a banana, went from intolerable to one of my favorite snacks

Feel free to throw in everything you like, all kinds of nuts, raisins, dried apricots, whatever also try to put into a blender, different structure creates different taste.

a grocer in my area sells one with pineapple in it. Usually either 1$ or 1.50$ per pound.
Usually mix a cup of it with a cup of pic related for breakfast
>>
Does this food exist without salt? I enjoy the texture, but the saltiness ruins it for me. If I'm in a rush I'll do cottage cheese, strawberries, and bananas. It'd be much better without the salt.
>>
>>41910795
What if it feels salty because sugars are dried out?
>>
>>41904829
Use herbs like oregano, thyme and basil, add pepper and salt. Delicious!

Its awesome.
You can use it in lots of recipes.
I prefer just adding it to stuff like red sauce pasta as a topping or diced tomatos or fruit. Also good plain as a late night snack.
>>
>>41904423
The pineapple stuff is fucking godly.
>>
>>41905140
do people still believe this ancient nutrition meme?
>>
Greek yogurt has way more taste than shitty cottage cheese
>>
>>41904829
i make a "peanut butter jelly" like shake for post training.
150g natty sunpat peanut butter
big handfull frozen berry's
1 tub cottage cheese
1 pint cold chilled water

blend and BAM! perfect bulking shake and low carb as well
>>
>>41904484

But who was plain greek yogurt?

>Less sodium
>Tastes better
>Calorie difference is minimal.
>>
>>41913016
cottage cheese has better macros and tastes like real food
if you like greek yogurt it's good for you I guess, at least you're not eating candy anymore and your mom is probably happy
>>
>>41913102
>Tastes better
objectively wrong
>>
>>41904829
/fit/ pancakes
1/2 cup oats
Cup cottage cheese
4 eggs
Tsp vanilla extract

Blend ingredients.

Makes a lot of pancakes - adjust as desired. Make them thin, so it cooks right through. Top with fresh fruit (strawberries and banana are my go to's)

>Not making paneer tikka
Trust me bros, it's the best way to eat cottage cheese
>>
>>41913112
Nah, greek yogurt tastes better. Mix it with a scoop of protein power, place it in the freezer for 30-60min. It's comes out like ice cream.
>>

>>41913339
tell me how pls
>>
>>41913095

Blending cottage cheese and peanut butter together just sounds disgusting.

>>41908541

Can confirm. I always mix it with scrambled eggs and onions.
>>
>>41904829

Fuck recipes. Slice up some sweet potatoes and roast them in the oven.

Eat them with cottage cheese as dip.
>>
>>41913016

Real greek yogurt is also 3x as expensive as cottage cheese.
>>
>>41914816
these faggots think greek yoghurt = greek style yoghurt.
i pay about 1,2-1,5 € for 500g of low fat cottage cheese. don't see how anything can beat that
>>
>>41904829
Put some onion, chive or radish in. If you like sweets you can eat it with fruit or jam. Best thing is probably putting it on ricotta pancakes, but they take a lot of time to make.
>>
>>41913102
>"2%" yoghurt
> 3.5% fat

lol.

but cottage cheese is cool, i eat let's say 600g or so every week. also roughly 1kg of 2% greek yoghurt that is actually 2% fat.

Cottage cheese with a small handful of the cereal of your choice for the sweet crunch.
>>
>>41910575
What about making it savory? (garlic, black pepper, cayenne, etc)
