Every time I see this pic I'm reminded of when fit told me to cut on 1800 calories/day and lift on a beginner routine (PPL)

4 months later I looked like that. Sad thing is I was convinced I was ripped af until I literally collapsed and later got diagnosed with anorexia.

I was skinnyfat as fuck and everyone told me to cut first and lift because you can build muscle on a calorie deficit

Sad thing is when doctors asked me about what I eat and I told them I tracked food at specific amounts (1888 kcals, 188P, 188C, 42F) they all thought I had super serious and crippling OCD as well as the anorexia. I was like "N-No I did the math these are my macros" and they asked me why I didn't just listen to my body and eat when I'm hungry.

Doing that is what made me skinnyfat in the first place.

I would gain weight on 1800. You're right though, people are very different and giving advice on such things as calorie intake is silly.
