I got the workout from a dumb bell book I got on Amazon.
2 set of each, 15 reps
Crunches
Reverse Crunches
Squat
Chest Press
Lunge
One-arm Row
Standing Shoulder Press
Pullover
Bicep Curls
Lying Extension
Calves Raise
Is this a good workout? It seems like a lot and I"m really sore already. It says to do it 2 -3 times per week.
Pretty shitty routine. What are you trying to achieve?
Aesthetics? Do PPL or PHAT/PHUL
Strength? Do SS or SL
Olympic lifting? Do the routine /OWL/ suggests

stronglifts is shit la', even SS is better

Aesthetics I guess. I want to look hot. I'll look into PPL. I've just started lifting so I figured I'd start with the workout in the book.

Feel free to suggest a better beginners strength program.

There's a lot of free info online. Always use your google-fu before purchasing any book

Yeah I bought it on a whim. IT's Men's Health Ultimate Dumb Bell Guide.

Oh wow I missed that part of your post. Ypu pnly jave dumbells? Are they adjustable? If so how heavy can you make them?
>>41886432
Yeah I only have dumb bells for now, I'm pretty weak. Each dumbbell can go up to 50 lbs.

That's definitely good enough to hold you over for a few months, you might be lacking in legs for a little while though. Try doing bulgarian split squats instead of regular squats
I started off restricted to a single DB only. It went up to 48lbs. I did a chest/tri back/bi shoulder/abs split. abcxabc.

Thanks. Yeah I found the dumb bells for pretty cheap on craiglist and they're in good shape. Before I commit to a gym I want to prove to myself that I will stick to lifting with my dumb bells and make it a routine. I've already cleaned up my diet so the next step is exercise. I'm 5'9" 150 lbs.
Read the fucking sticky

The sticky has been down for a week you mong
ss and sl are both shit. just do 5/3/1 for beginner
