Didn't see a stupid question thread
What's the consensus of deadlifting with weightlifting shoes?
I used powerlift 3, so the heel elevation is minimal (.6″) in comparison with other options but trying it today it just felt right

Depends on you.
Some people feel better with it.
Personally I don't, I feel it shifts my center of gravity forward and it fucks with my lift.

Depends on your genetics/leverages at to whether they'll benefit you or not. For most guys weightlifting shoes work well, for guys like me i wear my weightlifting shoes (with a .8 heel) for everything else, but I put my chucks on for deadlifts as I find it more comfortable (long femurs, short torso average arm length), an inch might not sound like a lot but i just lift and feel more comfortable in my chucks.
Each to their own.
