OK, firstly Blaha is hated on here. Partly because he's a bit of a nutter, partly because it's /fit/ and everyone here loves a bandwagon to jump on.
No matter how crazy the guy is, the routine is decent.
It's basically just an SS/SL type routine with some accessory movement thrown in.
Make sure you do the heave compounds first and to completion, add weight each workout, go to the gym 3-4 times a week without fail. That's it. That's all any novice needs to know.
Personally I found the extra volume helped with moving onto a PPL routine, but it's not a dealbreaker.
