Is full body 3x a week better than doing a brosplit?
>>
>>41866581
No
>>
depends on your goal you dingle
>>
Whats a brosplit fit? Sounds like one of your homo memes like SS.
>>
>work arms once a week vs working arms 3 times a week

gee I wonder whats better

brosplits are purely for people that either have too little time or too much time.

A good 2 hour FULL BODY session in the gym 3 times a week is what everyone should be doing.
>>
>>41866660
Lmao

Post physique
>>
>>41866644
>Never heard of a brosplit
Welcome newfriend
>>
>>41866644
>Whats a brosplit fit?
damn fucking digits wasted on this dumbass question.

A brosplit is when you split every muscle group into a separate workout that you do once a week instead of the more efficient twice a week
>>
>>41866588

Brosplits are shit and you know it you noodle armed dip.
>>
>>41866660
Brosplits are for people on roids actually
>>
>>41866660
i spend more than 2 hours at the gym every weekday and i do a split that works every muscle group twice a week.
>>
1st year lifting = Do Full-Body

After your 1st year, switch to PPLPPLx for life.
>>
Consistency and progression is important.
>>
>>41866720
Not op but I've been lifting for a year and still weak. Should I do PPLPPLx still?
Bench is 70kg and I weigh 62kg and when I started my bench was 30kg
>>
>>41866766

Holy shit, eat more and do literally any linear progression program.
>>
>>41866682
I'm not new. I've been coming here for at least 7 months.
>>
>>41866720
>PPLPPLx

What about FnB?
>>
>>41866804
>7 months
Wow
>>
What are the cons of full body? As a beginner, I don't really see s y a split would be superior.
>>
Brosplit is for people on roids.
>>
>>41867437
Why would being a beginner matter?
>>
>>41866766
>Bench is 70kg
For how many reps?
>>
>>41867529
lack of knowledge and/or experience

>What are the cons of full body?

you'll only piss off curl monkey bench press pussies for a little while before they can perform enough mental gymnastics to convince themselves that they don't actually look like an emaciated, weak little bitch.

so it's not the best way to farm butthurt from these mental/actual manlets.
>>
>>41866660
this is the truth
>>
>>41866693

but lower/upper split with 2x lower 3x upper is goat
>>
>>41866581
listen man, it doesnt matter as long as you get your volume for the week.
Chest: 60-120 reps per week.
Back: 60-120 reps per week.
Quadriceps: 60-120 reps per week.
Hamstrings: 60-120 reps per week.
Shoulders: 30-60 reps per week.
Biceps: 30-60 reps per week.
Triceps: 30-60 reps per week.
Calves: 30-60 reps per week.
Abs: 30-60 reps per week.

so you can do chest for example low volume 3 times a week, something like stronglifts. every workout you do 5x5 so 25 reps total, 3 workouts a week thats 75 reps per week, thats ok.

or you can do chest high volume twice a week. something like PPL. then on every push day you would need to do atleast 40 reps all together, totaling at 80 reps of chest week, you see?

it doesnt matter if in the end of the week you got your volume

i would avoid trying to do 1 workout per week and getting all your volume for every body part, because you will be exhausted and it will hinder your performance.

but doing 2 full body workouts twice a week is a real option, you just need to do a lot of work in those 2 days.

the brosplit is just every body part once a week. that way you can realy focus on it.
>>
>>41866581

Full body x3 is better than brosplit x3.

However, brosplit x6 is better than full body x3.
>>
>>41868359
How you gonna do brosplit 6 times a week?
>>

Lol @ cucks buying into fake natty youtuber bullshit

ALL bodybuilders before steroids did fullbody workouts

are you retarded?
>>
What's a FULL BODY routine that you do 3x a week?
>>
>>41869025
squats and deadlifts. that's all you need. everything else is basically crossfit

>>

>>41868848
You too.
>>
>>41866581
In my experience, yes.

I practically caught up to my friends lifts after 9 months of strict training/diet. If you program well all of your lifts spill over progress into each other, optimizing the strength building process.
>>
>>41869145
Man don't give me these bullshit answers. Just as bad as bro splitters
>>
>>41868440
>Chest/triceps
>Biceps/Back
>Legs/Shoulders
>Triceps/Chest
>Back/Biceps
>Shoulders/Legs

Do power lifting for what muscles it mostly hits. Squats, dead lifts, on legs. Barbell rows on back. Bench Press on chest and ohp on shoulder.

It's not rocket science, and the leading group is more sets for that group.
>>
>>41869370
Do forearms, if you want twice a week, whenever. I prefer on biceps day. Do abs and cardio at home. Couple, 3 times a week. 20 minutes.
>>
>>41869370
Shoulder shrugs and farmers walk on shoulder day. Each workout is about 1 hour.
>>
>>41869370
>gym 6 times a week

No life detected

Enjoy making gains 2x slower with that fluff and pump routine

I think you are the new ones for falling for this obvious bait

get off my board
>>
.>people think doing a 6 day routine of PPL is better than a 3 day routine of compounds + a couple of accessory lifts

this is the easiest detector of an unknowledgeable pleb
>>
>>41866581
Depends.

Is your cardio right? Is your diet right?

It's hard to fuck up.
>>
>>41866581
Yes, but 6 sessions per week is even better.
>>
>>41866669
lmao

& now I'm getting old & I have to stretch.

Fuck.
>>
If you have been lfiting for less than 5 years you have no business doing anything other than full body

stop watching fake natty bodybuilders who claim leg extensions build big legs

steroids and enhanced MPS build big legs
>>
Itt beginners who have all of the advice but none of the experience
>>
>>41870521
One leg leg press till you cry builds big legs &... & balances you the fuck out.
>>
>>41870542
Just like a one leg leg extension will. Remembering to feel the muscle & to target the abs at the end for a killer burn.
>>
>>41870533
t. guy who has been lifting for 6+months and has made shit gains because he does a brosplit
>>
whats a good x3/week full body workout i can do
>>
>>41866581
Dude just do a 4 day period to work your whole body well, and with differing frequency's so you can develop muscular simatry.
>>
>>41869346
>http://www.exrx.net/Workouts/Workout1LTA.html
Basically pick exercises that cover all the muscle groups. Do those exercises every workout. Easy peasy.
>>
>>41869611
Might want to actually research it beyond /fit/. An hour a day is not too much anyways.
>>
>>41870669
I know a guy who works out 4 days a week. Big chest, tiny and weird looking arms. Far from symmetrical.
>>
>>41870609
unironically stronglifts 5x5 + accessories is the best 3x full body workout
>>
>>41870936
is stronglifts the same as starting strength?
>>
>>41870936
This is my heavy day.

You resting & shit.

Fuck you.
>>
>>41871148
no, similar tho...if you google a bit there's tons of info on it & a free app that's pretty great.

On the seventh day I curl in the squat rack.

what did that have to do with my post and why did you assume I was resting today and why did you say "fuck you"?
>>
better for strength

negligible effect on aesthetics
>>
>>41873240
confirmed never doing 5x5 routine

i did this for about 6 months and saw a huge increase in both aesthetics and strength

granted much of this is newbie gains, but most fullbody routines are exactly for newbies

enjoy having no strength platform to work off
>>
>>41871305
don't bully autists
>>
>>41873257
>>41873240

sorry, I meant there is no negligible difference between the two types of programs on aesthetic... not that full-body programs have a negligible effect altogether on aesthetics

Is it normal to stall st 2pl8s (100kg) in squat?
I've been lifting for 2.5 months and I feel like this weight hard as shit, even when 92.5 kg is pretty easy
>>
>>41866974
who has time to lift 6 times a week
>>
>>41870936
yeah. just when already lifting, don't follow his advice to start at 50% (eg if you can squat 100kg, start with 50kg). just use your normal 5x5 weights from the start and try to constantly progess.
>>
>>41866690
Wrong.

A brosplit is a decent split routine that maximizes volume in order to allow you to train harder for longer, but is ruined by fucking around, not being consistent, and lifting shitty weight.

Something like Arnold's Blueprint for Mass is a very good, advanced, high volume routine that is ideal if you're an advanced lifter. But if you're a novice who goes to the gym three times a week, fucks around talking to his friends 90% of the time, and can barely bench 1pl8, then you've just turned a decent split into a pointless brosplit.
>>
>>41866720
better option would be
>ss or sl since you dont need that much volume to grow
>run an intermediate program like c6w once your squat progress stalls
>>
>>41870936
What accesories?
Ive been on SL for 3 weeks already and I could use an extra exercise for A days

B days fuck me up since I started doing 3x5 diddlys to get the form down
