If you don't actually have serious plans to enroll in college / uni or get a job soon, you might as well just start the cocoon mode now.
I spent 2 years in a weird limbo mode where I thought "yeah I'm gonna get a job next month" while not really cocooning and it was a waste of time.

Ok I legitimately did this a few summers back between 10th & 11th year in school (Jr/Sr in high school). There was a lot of "OMG what happened you look grea!"

There was also a lot of congealed autism I had to overcome. It only took me 2 years to get back on my feet socially, def worth it would recommend
