Anyone got good routines to lose weight and build muscle with a sort of military diet and workout? I want to challenge myself and better my health.
>>
>>41862032
literally just push ups, sit ups, pull ups. mix em up
>>
>>41862032
That sounds like a lot of running
>>
>>41862032

"military diet and workout" you've never served in any armed forces have you?
>>
>>41862032
I'm currently trying to get mil/fit/.

>StrongLifts 5x5 including hanging pullups and dips, 3-4 days a week
>Swim, 4 days a week
>Run, usually a little over 2 miles, sometimes HIIT, 2 days a week

Am I going to make it bros? I wanna be a PT stud officer
>>
>>41862412
Yes you can
>>
>>41862032
8-Count Body Builders
Pull-ups
Jumping Jacks
5 mile runs
Lap swimming
>>
>>41862032
Budweiser, wings, burger king, and some cardio
>>
>>41862426
>>41862651
>>41862903
>recomp is totally a thing, look I put on 2lb of muscle last year alone :-)
>>
>>41862898
>running 2 miles
You realize you don't run less than 4 unless you're doing a PT test, right? Every company size+ run is 4+mi. If you want to be combat arms, you need to run that 3 times a week, plus a 4th day of sprints, 5th day recover run. You can sub one of the long runs for an even longer run, like 6-8mi
>>
>>41863227
Right now I just suck at going the extra mile (or 2 or 3), Cardio not good.

Any tips on getting over mental barriers when it comes to running? My body just stops being interested after 30 mins of cardio, I get severe boredom.

Thanks for the advice though, I really need to step my game up.
>>
>>41862032

Former 11b fag and failed ranger here (no shame)

My honest advice is to get as lean as possible and don't worry so much about muscle mass. However, you want to meet some bare minimum requirements.

You should be doing no less than 50 pushups and 50 situps in a row and no more than 13 minutes for 2 miles.

You can train like this:

Day 1
>5 sets of 30 reps of situps
>5 sets of 30 reps of pushups
>4 for the core (google it)
> Interval running for 3-5 miles (.5 miles fast, 1 mile slow, .5 fast, 1 slow etc)

Day 2

>benchpress 3 sets of 12 reps (70% of 10 rep max)
> Squats or leg press (pick one) 3 sets of 15 reps (avoid injuries) 60% of 10 rep max
>Deadlifts (be very fucking careful) (same as squats)
>45-60 min powerwalk or light jog

Day 3
Rest

and repeat until you go off to basic
>>
>>41863345
Literally just run. Run as slow as you need to just don't stop running until you hit your distance goal. Plan a route outside. Park somewhere good to eat, go run, come back and eat said good food as reward.
Most stud officers ran track in high school and college. My CO runs like a 10:40 2mi, 27-28min 5mi

I bet you think you can out on more than 6-8lb of muscle a year natty without noon gains too
>>
>>41863387

I was in the 3rd Mecha and flunked ranger selection twice because I'm a shit runner. I always prioritized gains and size over cardio and was too heavy to effectively run with those fucking antelope motherfuckers.
>>
>>41863393

Natty?

>Confirmed for faggot

Unless you get drug tested for sports, there is no reason to go full natty. If you don't want to juice hard, at least take HGH.
>>
>>41863409
Nigga you don't know shit about roids either. GH is like 50x as expensive as roids and you have to be religiously precise.
I'm bnc for 20+ months now, never going to be natty again in my life.

>>
>>41862032
Just get good at cardio and have a good strength base. The more POG your job is, the easier it is to make gains. The first year or so you'll lose quite a bit of gains because of the stupid fucking workouts you will do that is just getting fatigued for the sake of getting fatigued

eat saltines covered in a ridiculous amount of peanut butter every two hours in under 4 minutes

every time you leave a doorway do ten pushups, situps, and pullups (if there is something to grip, do them)

respond to everyone by screaming

turn in sharp movements, no more rounding corners for you

iron EVERYTHING

run EVERYWHERE

war face 24/7

>super challenge rooster mode: add 10 drops of tabasco sauce to every peanut butter meal

Training and discipline.

Drink more water. You aren't sweating enough to cool off.
>also dont you get rash at your asshole when its all wet and rubbing the whole time?
Use Gold Bond powder.
>tl;dr how to soldier put up with 40 ° C + in full clothing?
Nanomachines, son.

Infantry anon here.

Pic related mid tour gains

IT sort of depends what country's military you join, Brit fags value cardio above strength ,so 2,3 and 4 milers with weight is the true tests of cardio weight ranging from 15 to 30 kg.

Don't worry about strength that much just focus on volume training.

You'll end up doing insane amount of sit ups, push ups, burpees and other gay bodyweight shit, might as well prep for them.

How to train? Cardio in mornings, weights in evening. for Cardio focus on sprints and long distances, for weights, mixture of compounds and weighted pull ups/dips.

you'll probably end up struggling rucking/tabbing at start ,best tip I could give, for that would be, put 40-60 kg on a bar, and squat for as many reps as possible, till you physically cannot walk anymore.
>>
>>41862032
Just eat less and run as often as you can. Do pushups and situps too. Military fitness isnt about strength/muscle mass at all.

>t. Air Force PTL

>>41864865

My GH is about 500 a month. I'm doing pretty well at work so I can afford it. I'm 27 so I don't need to run test cycles. I've only done one with test base and anavar for 2 months.

GH is god though for military lifestyle.

Option 40 is a gimmick man. You still have to pass selection and make it through goddamn ranger school. Shit is hard. Not ashamed at all that I couldn't do it.
>>
>>41863718

Varies man. Privates and specialists tend to be skinny with a bit of muscle. E5-E6 are starting to get pretty decent model bods. E7 plus are monsters usually.

Officers is rather diverse.
>>
>>41863841

Shrapnel to the lower extremities from earlier deployment (althoug mostly healed) makes it hard to run
>>
>>41862032
>military diet

Doesn't exist

>military workout

Crossfit bullshit. I was a dyel when I was in the army and I always got a 270-280/300 on PT tests without doing anything extra. All you have to do is not be a fat piece of shit. I got out a few years ago and I'm in better shape than I ever was in the military.
>>
Literally just run everyday and do push-ups, situps, and pullups. You can do the calisthenics shit everyday too, unless you are a complete pussy, because it is basically endurance work. If you do it right you will probably be able to max out pft scores in just a few months.
>>
>>41862898
milfag here. you're doing good with the lifting+pull ups and dips. keep that shit up and focus on high reps for the bodyweight shit. I'd personally recommend running more, and running longer. Try to build your runs to 4-5 miles, 3 days a week. My personal routine looks like this:

Mon:
Lift+swim
Tues:
Swim+run
Wed:
Lift+run
Thurs:
Swim+Run
Fri:
Lift+Swim
Sat:
Swim+Run
Sun:
Rest.

For the lifting, I use the beyond 5/3/1 template with a lot of pull ups, push ups, dips, and ab work. Good luck bro
>>
>>41863345
don't underestiate the benefits of doing long, slow runs. You'd be amazed how much your runs improve just by slowing down to pack on the extra miles. As for zoning out, just try and think about anything besides running while you run. Music helps some people, I just try and think about random shit when I do long mileage.
>>
>>41867538
So should I be running everyday then? I've got my assessment in a week and i've only been running every two days, didn't want to burn myself out when I need to be preparing.
