If I have barbells that are too light, should I just do as many repeats as it takes till I feel exausted, even if it will be a lot of them?
Don't have money for more atm.
You have set weight barbells?
If you're new you can get 1 inch thick weights and a barbell cheap used.
Depends on your goals. You can do what you're doing for endurance, but not strength.
i mean... couldnt you just put more weight? i guess more reps would compensate for weight. however low reps, high weight= strength. high reps low weight = mass

Yes. 10kg, I'll buy some more when I have spare cash.

I want to burn fat, for endurance (& cardio) I jog a bit.

Hmmm... Thanks.

More reps and sets right now is the best you can do unless you get creative. You can hang bags of sand on it, will take more stabilization though.

Thank you.

Stop being poor. Get a gym membership
Protip: barbells are usually referring to the Olympic barbell. What you seem to be referring to is the straight bar

I knew /fit/ was full of meatheads but you give the word a totally new meaning. I'll break it down for you really simply though.
If your barbell is too light, you add plates. Not kitchen plates, but weighted plates meant to go on barbells. Add equal weight to each side or else you could hurt yourself.
