When does getting concussion start to permanently damage your brain.
I've had 2 maybe 7-8 years ago, one causing amnesia for around an hour (rugby game)
Another while snowboarding 2 years after and another 4 years after snowboarding again causing the amnesia for my ride down about 15 mins.
Is my brain mush?

it also varies with the amount of force. its better to take 3 half assed punches than 1 full force one.
and as for boxing, as long as you're middleweight or below in amateurs you're fine.

its about 80 kilos you start finding folks with good power. not very often. but there's one or two here and there.
at 90 about a quarter to a half have good power depending on experience/style
also, head protectors dont actually help for concussions. they only help to decrease cuts and things like cauliflower ear.

I played high-school and college football, would still be playing but I wasn't food enough for the NFL. I don't think it would be an exgeration to way I've had over 100 concussions at this point. Coach would say "got knocked for a loop" or "got his bell rung" but really those were concussions. I'm 32 now and my memory is completely fucked and my mood is all over the fucking place. Granted that could be from a million other things but somehow the knocks to the head and huge gaps on my memory during my time playing makes me think it was the concussions.

I played hockey as a kid, football as a teenager, did MMA and played rugby in college. I can spell fine and my grammar is on point, but when I send emails at work sometimes I'll include a word that doesn't belong or make a silly error that I wouldn't have made when I was younger. Sometimes my memory is shaky too. Idk maybe brain is bork
