How can I find myself a doctor who understands weightlifting? I'm tired of going to th office and hearing shit from women who never touched a dumbbell in their life

>doc, I think I have gyno, my nipple is tender and there's a lump-
>I think you were trying to say Gynecomastia
>I hurt my back doing deadliest
>Next time you shouldn't lift heavy, do more cardio
>meme stretches, meme diets, never heard of GOMAD, /BOB/ing, or AS

I'm fucking tired, I want someone who knows how to get big

simple
find a doctor who doesn't look DYEL
a doctor that lifts, really likes to lift due to his jam packed schedule he had for years and years.
>>

you could also consider not egolifting you dumb faggot

>needing to see a doctor for lifting related injuries

baka

Most physicians dont know anything about fitness or nutrition. They get about 6 hours of nutritional education in their entire 8 years of medschool. For years they were telling people with high cholesterol to avoid egg yolks when its now been proven that egg yolk are healthy for everyone and are not the same thing as bad cholesterol.

They don't know about lifting because most have never lifted. They are drug dealers for pharma companies.

Good luck finding a doctor. By total fortune I did find a chiropractor who was strength coach and a pretty competent powerlifter (not world class but competes regionally). He helped my back after I bruised a disc when the docs and another chiropractor told me to take painkillers and rest for 6months. With this guy's magic I was able to pull again after a few weeks and sorted my flexibility. He just knew and practiced shit that mainstream medics don't know about - largely because many of his methods came from conventional advice and experience with other coaches while the medics rely on poorly constructed studies that don't account for a lot of variables.

I still visit him every so often for a catch up or a mycro massage, if you find a guy who knows his shit keep him in your circle as it's rare as fuck to find a guy who "gets" lifting. Trial and error.

Depends where you live.

If you're in the US, despite the fact your healthcare system is mental, one of the good points about it is you can just save some money and see a proper doctor who specialises in that area.

If you're in a country like the UK, abuse the NHS. I have various issues with our NHS (US is too far one way, UK too far the other) but given I hand over 40% of my earnings every year under threat of imprisonment to pay for it, I've found you can generally get whatever the fuck you want if you're willing to be persistent.

Planning on getting my own private healthcare before the end of the year, but no major need to yet.

Remember that no matter where you are though (unless you're in some backwards African shithole) a doctor has a duty of care. If you say "this is what I'm doing, but I have this issue" they can advise if what you're doing may be causing it, but they are required to follow scientific facts. If you think they've got it wrong, get a second opinion and/or raise a complaint.

I'd like source on that. Thanks in advance.

Do you know all the researchers from the meta analysis I cited and all their previous work, or whether they shilled the meme pyramid?
>>41834192
That's not a study. That is the opinion of one single doctor.

To all three of you: read what I posted carefully. It mentions the effect of dietary cholesterol on blood cholesterol increase, with BASELINE cholesterol taken into account. If you post a response that says something along the lines of "dietary cholesterol does not affect blood cholesterol", it is a bacon or egg industry shill study and will be disregarded UNLESS they mention that their findings also apply to individuals with a healthy baseline blood cholesterol, which should be in the range of 50-70 [whatever mg/ng/ml units are used].

>For years they were telling people with high cholesterol to avoid egg yolks

I was told I had high cholesterol last year, and that was literally the whole of the advice I've got. "To make this go away, don't eat eggs any more".

Please don't act like the fat tumblrinas we make fun of at the fph threads
>Uh EXCUSE ME doctor, I came here because I have breathing problems, not because I need to hear that I am 200 lbs overweight, gosh *rolls eyes*
>>
Medfag here. I'm gonna try to give good fitness advice. Going into pediatrics, so I am probably not going to see too many anons, but I will be encouraging all of my patients to exercise with good form and to eat a balanced diet with whole grains, lean meats, fruits and veggies, milk, and lots of water.

OP, if you want a doctor who lifts, look no further than the orthopedic surgeons. It is practically a requirement for residency that they be jacked as hell.
