Is eating one caloric meal a day and having nothing but water/ice beside that meal a decent strategy to go under your calorie limit while still eating what you like?

yes, it's called intermittent fasting and it works

I cut 20lbs from February to May just eating one meal a day and still feeling great. Plus that meal can be anything you'd like. Never felt the urge to binge.

fat fuck here, can easily eat above my TDEE in one meal. have started walking 3 miles a day, maybe it would be harder these days
