So been lifting for some months and bulking a little inconsistentently. Made some gains, cut once, fearing the look of skeleton. Will bulking with excess fat damage gains or just make me fat with muscle? I would prefer bulk and then cut at a time I won't turn into a scary skeleton, but the advice seems to be cut. Why?

Skinnyfat is like the second worst bodytype to have.

Here's your choices OP:
>cut now and become a skeleton
>bulk now and become builtfat
Either one is better than skinnyfat. If you don't know how to lift weights yet then start with a cut. At the very least you'll lose weight, and can learn how to lift (by actually lifting) as the time goes by. That way when you come to bulk, you'll actually be able to lift properly and not waste the calorie surplus (see: get needlessly fat)
If you know how to lift and such, bulk now and remember to lift. Don't go crazy, it's not an excuse to eat everything in sight. Eat at a moderate surplus and lift as heavy as you can, compound lifts
