When intermittent fasting, how important is supplementing electrolytes? I don't normally use them, but should I start putting them in my water?

If so, what brand is good? Also this thread is for other IF progress and tips.

How long are you fasting for?

16:8 schedule. Though sometimes I stretch it to a 18:6. E.g. normally fast 8pm til noon next day, sometimes wait til 2pm next day.
>>
>>41828161
It's not necessary. Just drink plenty of water.
>>

OK, perfect. I don't fully understand the process but I assume if I drink plenty of water and eat good food after the fast I'll be fine. Just wanted to check, thanks man.
>>
>>41828161
16:8 lmao thats just skipping breakfast
>>

Only fasting for 16 hours is barely anything, so you dont need to supplement anything you normally wouldn't already be.
>>
Why bother IF on 16:8 or even 18:6.
22:2 or nothing brother.
>>
>>41828142
hey man, you only need to worry about electrolytes when water fasting for more than 3 days, or if you are on keto. Hope this helps
>>
>>41828142
If you are doing 16:8 you don't need to supplement anything, unless you are drinking an insane amount of water which is hard to do.

Also don't listen to the goons bashing 16:8 or 18:6, I'm currently losing 1.5 to 2 pounds a week on it and am almost under 200 pounds for the first time in over two years. It is the only diet that has worked for me and it is working amazingly well.
