Had a hernia fixed a few days ago. No lifting over 20 lbs for 6 weeks.

I had a hernia fixed last summer. If you trust your doc, and if he did his job right, you should be able to train 2 weeks after.
I went to a high end doc because parents are loaded, I was a bit sore at first but two weeks after I was training like normal asides from long cardio sessions. It's gonna feel weird at first, but make nothing of it. If the mesh is there and it's done right you'll be fine. The discomfort went away after about a month or two. Now I feel nowthing and feel better than ever.
