I found out that honey wasn't actually good for you a couple of days ago and I've been wondering what other meme foods to avoid. Alternatively, what are some meme foods that are actually good?
>x food isn't "good for you"
generic, dumbass statement, at least specify exactly how much of it and why.

Why isn't honey good for you? I always assumed it was easily broken down and non fattening. Also, I don't know. Erm whey powder and because
>>41822979
every single food is fattening unless it's pure fiber (e.g. paper).

Its no different than sugar, actually worse. It is more difficult to break down though so you end up with a bit less energy intake than sugar. That also means its bad for your teeth and shit.

>sugar is bad
nice meme
>>41823173
Of course not if you exercise becuase the nergy is being used, terrible if you are sedentary
>honey is bad for you
Not falling for it THIS TIME
>>41822917
If anyone badmouths gOATS and broccoli as staple foods, consider them irredeemable.
I always figured honey was good for you because of micronutrients, not the macros, as it is essentially just sugar in that respect.
>>41822917
Sugar is good as long you don't overeat. If you need more sugar, eat raw honey.
Fat is not fattening prove me wrong.

Calories in, calories out.
>>41822979
>non-fattening
Are you being serious right now?
I feel like quinoa is a meme food. In that nutrition wise it's not even better than a bowl of rice and beans. And I mean white rice and pinto beans. Could make that shit even healthier and still cost less than quinoa if using wild rice and black beans.
Coconut oil. People act like it's a cure all when it's no different than butter or olive oil or any other oil besides mark up.
I don't think honey as a meme food but I never met many that treated it like some superfood cure all and usually most seem to think of it as just sugar but with a slightly better GI than actual sugar. It's got nutrients sure but such an insignificant amount per reasonable serving that it's basically 0.
Cane sugar holy shit just because it's more raw and has the slightest bit more nutrients than processed sugar people flip shit. But again like honey (worse than actually) it's so fucking little per tablespoon. Just eat a fucking vegetable for nutrients.
