I'm going to talk to my DR about going on a keto diet but before I look like a fat autist I wanted to ask if anyone has had success on it, enough to make it worth it? It might also help my ADD so that would be a plus.

Keto is great. I was at 320lbs and now Im down to 250. A lot of that was with weight lifting as well of course.

Keto is a good way to get people to stick to a diet that promotes fat loss. If you eat carbs and just reduce caloric intake it becomes a lot easier to just eat that tempting cupcake. If a keto adapted person eats a cupcake they'll be put into a coma.

So Ketosis works just as well as the famous "cut all the unhealthy foods and drinks" diet.
Avoid pork & chicken ( especially cheap one )
Stick to ruminant and try to get grassed .
Eat real food, don't fall for the lots of butter & oil meme , don't fall for the butter/coconut in coffee meme .
If you need more fat absolutely don't get it from cheap meat or egg , it's the worst fucking shit you could do for you , not because it's saturated but because it's the main source of omega 6 in 95% of people's diet . ( Those animals are fed shit grains and the omega 6 ends up in their stored fat ) .
You absolutely need a wide range of veggie in your diet .
Don't do the less than 20g of carbs a day meme
Stick to 50 g of carbs a day and REACH IT .
Cheese is not as bad as meat.
The benefit of keto is that you hardly ever feel hungry, if you do it correctly. First week sucks as your body transitions but after that its smooth sailing as long as you continue eating very low carb. Thats one of the only benefits however, in that you do not feel hungry. You still have to make sure you're in a caloric deficit.
Went from ~180 to 130 in 5 months using keto.
