I'm thinking about going on a PPL spilt going 3 times a week. is this enough to make progress (as i'm only hitting muscle groups once a week).

why not full body 3x a week?
starting strength is this. just do more volume for each lift
>>41814105
Frequency is really more important than sets and reps.
>>41814105
If just 3 times a week any 5x5 variant with some accessories would be the best choice.

This is what the routine calls for would it work as well as a full body routine like ^^ is suggesting?

Full body + accessories. Boom.
A: Squat, Bench, Row + Accessories
B: Deadlift, Press, Pullup + Accessories

No, it is not. You have to train everything at least 2x week. 1x week is very inefficient and progress will stall very soon. Whatever you do, read the sticky and the Starting strength book.
>But I only have 3 days a week, what am I going to do?
Full body. Pic related.
>Naw, I can train 5-6 days a week man and I just love PPL

If you can commit to 5 day program and afford the food then its the best.
It takes a bit of time to get used to but now that I am I love going so frequently and tiring everything out to exhaustion 2x a week.
I've been lifting for 2 years and I'm working on a new program, please excuse my 'tism but anyone run a 2 day split 5 days a week before?
