Thread for all vegans and people interested in the vegan lifestyle.
Vegetarians allowed as long as they don't push their diets.
Meat eaters not allowed. (pic related)
>>
But you're forcing us to see your thread.
>>
>>41813925
How about ignoring it if you don´t want to see it?
>>
>>41813932
This, I don't care about your milk and chicken threads, so you don't care about 1 (one!) vegan thread on this entire board.
>>
>>41813910
I'm not a vegan and I have no strong feelings for or against this lifestyle, but that comic made me kek
>>
But isn't your thread the reverse of the comic? The guy in the chair pulling his head out to the guy outside?
>>
>>41813953
Basicly meat eaters visiting this thread and complaining about this is what this comic is about.
>>
>>41813964
But that doesn't make sense. You're the one coming in here with your thread about veganism. It's the total opposite of the comic.
>>
>>41813910
Yo Vegans, I'm looking more ways to prepare my foliage. Chopping it up, oiling it, and baking it was pretty palatable, but counter productive with all that oil and salt. Stir fry uses less, but I'd like some tasty plant meat that isn't ruined by additives.
>>
Are vegetarians welcome?

Also OP pic is truth
>why aren't you eating meat anon?
>oh, I'm vegetarian
>GEE ANON I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE.
AREN'T YOU PROTIEN DEFICIENCT?
MY GREAT GRANPA WAS A FARMER AND HIS COWS TOLD ME THEY WERE HAPPY.
DID YOU KNOW LETTUCE CONTRIBUTES MORE TO CLIMATE CHANGE THAN PORK? I SAW IT IN A TED TALK LAST YEAR.
>STOP TRYING TO PUSH YOUR LIFESTYLE ONTO ME

The protien one makes me kek when I'm usually way bigger than the nerd yelling at me.
>>
>>41813988
You are coming to the only vegan thread on the whole board to complain about it.
This board is about fitness and some vegans happen to care about that as well.
Where if not here should this thread be?
>>
I started living vegan a few years ago and it really improved my life! I feel a lot healthier (no deficiency of any kind), am more active, am no longer overweight and don't damage the environment so badly anymore.

I believe that many humans are meant to be vegan, at least I am. The smell or sight of milk and meat make me almost vomit now.

So to all of you skeptics, please try being vegan for a single month and see if like/can handle it before jugding others.
>>
>>41813999
>Vegetarians allowed as long as they don't push their diets.
What did OP mean with this?
>>
>>41814004
can you lift tho?
>>
>>41814020
Obviously I can't read. Thanks anon.
Do vegans ITT eat honey?
>>
>>41814003
>Where if not here should this thread be?

/ck/ You know. The FOOD board.
>>
>>41814023
I go to the gym but mostly do cardio but there are many strongbuild vegans (don't think this green guy is anywhere near the best we can offer)

Yes, I know you won't get your "needed" 180g of protein without vegan protein powder but in times where two thirds of Americans are overweight or obese and /fat/ being one of the busiest boards on /fit/, shouldn't eating less calorie dense food and more vegetables be more important for the general society?
>>
>>41814043
If it is mainly about recipies or taste I agree, if it is about nutrition and protein it belongs here as well as other diet threads.
>>
totes just had a chicken mcnugget. You realize that the most successful animals on the planet for populations and comfy lives are the ones we farm for food?
>>
>>41814068
b-but the chickn feelings ;_;
>>
>>41814052
I am only a vegetarian and only bike a lot.
I passed e-bikes on the uphill after i was driving 50km already and make good progress at the moment.
I am pushing about 3,5-4W/kg FTP at this point already.
And no, since I don´t train lifting I obviously can´t do it well.
>>
>>41813992
I also plan to try grilling them soon, but that's still only like 3-4 prep methods.
As a contribution: I learned that when using stir fry sauce or similar, soak your onions in them. Brings out the best of both flavors.

How do you deal with the massive drop in testosterone + low mood by only eating vegetables?
>>
>>41813953
this isn't forcing their views onto anyone. it's just a discussion thread. if this was forcing, so are all the non-vegan food threads.
>>
>>41814361
>drop in testosterone + low mood
Didn´t happen to me, since I stopped eating meat my libido and amount of sperm per ejacuation have increased whle my mood did get better.
>>
>>41814361
>massive drop in testosterone + low mood by only eating vegetables

doesn't exist

Do people on /fit/ seriously believe a ftm who happens to be vegan is a good representant of the vegan community?
>>
>>41814031
I don't eat honey. I don't know too much about the ethics of it, as it apparently varies quite a bit depending on the honey's source. I just don't like being inconsistent.
>>
>>41813910
>Meat eaters not allowed
what do you have against homosexuals, my man?
>>
>>41814361
I felt pretty shitty for around a week after I switched to veganism. After that I felt better than before.
>>
>>41814031
>Do vegans ITT eat honey?
I don't because it's just another form of sugar.
>>
>>41814052
>shouldn't eating less calorie dense food and more vegetables be more important for the general society?
One does not necessitate the other.
Calorie density does not matter anyway, it's total calories and avoiding simple carbohydrates (including vegan simple carbohydrates) that is important.

The variety of food required for a balanced vegan diet is not sustainable on a global scale. It is a privilege afforded to those in developed countries who wish to believe they are minimizing their impact on animals and/or the environment by modifying a trivial aspect of their lives because it has easily quantifiable effects while ignoring the larger impact the entire rest of their lifestyle has.
>>
How do you cope with the dangers of veganism? I keep hearing these horror stories and decided the negatives vastly outweigh the positives.
>>
>>41814554
Such as what? The only thing I can think of is possible B12 deficiency which is very easily avoidable
>>
>>41814554
How do you cope with the dangers of eating meat? I keep seeing these horror stories (my 600 lbs life, my big fat fabulous life, the average American fatass, obese children, high diabetes rates, the billions spending on health care for overweight people, etc., etc.) and decided the negatives vastly outweigh the positives.
>>
Can vegans ITT post what they eat for breakfast and lunch? I'm vegetarian but I'd like to eat less eggs/dairy.

I'm pretty creative dinner wise but for breakfast and lunch I'm too ingrained in the idea of eggs/cheese/yoghurt with bread or cereal.
>>41814514
>The variety of food required for a balanced vegan diet is not sustainable on a global scale.
>implying eating 280g of meat per person per day is sustainable
>implying livestock + byproducts doesn't account for 51% of global greenhouse gas emissions and 80-90% of US water consumption
>implying that these percentages are 'trivial'
>implying eating meat is not a privilege afforded to those in developed countries who choose to forget they are exploiting the rest of the world
Kill yourself my man.
>>
>>41814514
>sustainable on a global scale
Apart from veganism, almost nothing of the Western life style is sustainable on a global scale. Earth only has enough resources for 1-2 billion people living on Western standards, while we are expecting over 10 billion people at the end of the century.
>>
>>41814387
it does exist dude, it happened to me like 3 weeks into veganism. started eating eggs and everything went back to normal, i guess it's different for different people
>>

Define meat. I ask this because people sometimes use "meat" to mean specifically beef because they are retarded.
>implying livestock + byproducts doesn't account for 51% of global greenhouse gas emissions and 80-90% of US water consumption
"No."
Livestock does not account for more greenhouse gas emissions than all other human industry and combined. You have been lied to by people pushing an agenda.
>implying eating meat is not a privilege afforded to those in developed countries who choose to forget they are exploiting the rest of the world
It isn't. Fish, fowl and, yes, even red meat are consumed worldwide. The first two especially are staples. Insects and other arthropods too, but some idiots consider some arthropods fish.

Also
>I care about the animals
>I eat eggs and dairy
>Letting cattle graze in fields and be cows until the day they are slaughtered is less humane than keeping chickens and cows in chickenhell and cowhell, respectively
Why don't you just keep your own chickens for egg production and ensure their welfare yourself? It's not difficult or expensive to do.
>>
>>41814613
Do you understand what a control group is?

>Two third overweight or obese IS the general population. How many of these obese fat shits are professional curlers?

>>41814682
chickens that aren't bred to lay eggs lay like 10 eggs a year or something
>>
>>41814698
Yes, and?
There are dozens of varieties of chickens bred to lay eggs that are not the same can't-stand-or-move-all-white chickens you find in commercial farms. They will happily roam over as large a space as you make available to them, doing chicken things, and still provide you with an ample source of eggs.
>>
>>41814682
>Why don't you just keep your own chickens for egg production and ensure their welfare yourself?
>why don't you just keep your own slaves for labor and ensure their welfare yourself

Using animals is SLAVERY, nothing else.
>>
>>41814718

Everything dies.

>It isn't. Fish, fowl and, yes, even red meat are consumed worldwide. The first two especially are staples. Insects and other arthropods too, but some idiots consider some arthropods fish.
Have you ever actually been to a poor country? I have. I stayed with a poor family, although they were well off by Gambian standards. They had a goat and two chickens. They ate meat like twice a year because it's fucking unaffordable. You actually have to slaughter the animal to eat it, you know. That means you have to get a new one. Fish maybe once a month because there isn't that much fish in the river. Meat hasn't been a 'worldwide staple' since our hunter-gatherer days. Try imagining a self-sustaining household, owning animals and all, producing 280g of meat per day. Impossible.
>Why don't you just keep your own chickens for egg production and ensure their welfare yourself? It's not difficult or expensive to do.
I don't give a shit about animal welfare. I care about greenhouse gas emissions and water usage.
>>
>>41814833
I hear that all the time
>>
>>41814833
Vegans lack the nutrition to adequately participate in reason and logic, aka what separates us from beasts. Their shriveled, useless brains cannot possibly comprehend social interaction and group mechanics. They are too easily angered, governed by instinct over thought, and as a result, have more empathy for animals, especially unintelligent creatures like cows, chickens, and fish, because they have more in common with them than that of humans.

>tl;dr
Vegcucks are more animal than human

>Beef, lamb, pork, venison, you name it.
So fish and arthropods aren't included. I see you are retarded.

>my sources
Your three sources are the same; the worldwatch report written by two world bank advisers that alleges that the UN finding is wildly underestimating the impact of livestock. The second is a summary of that same report and the third is an essay which has many sources, but only a few contended sources, and the source which is the pillar of their argument is that same worldwatch report.

I do not trust the worldwatch report over the UN report because worldwatch is a group of ideologues that don't like, among other things, nuclear energy; they sincerely believe that cutting our energy production to meet their pet energy source output and moving industry to other nations, thereby resulting in no net reduction in greenhouse gas emission, is a good plan.

Your claim--that UN estimations of greenhouse gas emissions are off by a factor of more than 2, and that livestock produce more greenhouse gas than all other human activity and industry combined, requires some measure of proof. Your single dubious source is not it.

But don't take my word for it--the worldwatch report is also not accepted by anyone outside of the subculture you are a part of it.

You are the climate change denier in this instance. :^)

>Have you ever actually been to a poor country?
I've been all over south america and southeast asia.

>They had a goat and two chickens. They ate meat like twice a year because it's fucking unaffordable. You actually have to slaughter the animal to eat it, you know.
Why did they keep the goat and two chickens--surely as pets for companionship? Are we just ignoring all animal products that serve as parts of diets except meat now?

>Try imagining a self-sustaining household, owning animals and all, producing 280g of meat per day. Impossible.
Why the requirement that they own all the animals? Why arbitrarily exclude fish and arthropods?

>So fish and arthropods aren't included. I see you are retarded.
The impact of fish and arthropods on co2/water usage are not at all comparable. Also if you look up meat in a dictionary this is roughly what it says. Why do I need to use a different definition for meat than the rest of the world? That doesn't seem beneficial to the conversation.
>I do not trust the worldwatch report over the UN report because (...)
It's all a giant conspiracy? Of course it is, but feel free to point out where exactly they are wrong. Even if they were off by a factor 2 and the UN report is correct, your claim that the impact of meat is 'trivial' is fucking retarded.
>Why did they keep the goat and two chickens--surely as pets for companionship? Are we just ignoring all animal products that serve as parts of diets except meat now?
They kept them for milk and eggs.
>>Try imagining a self-sustaining household, owning animals and all, producing 280g of meat per day. Impossible.

It's a thought experiment to hopefully make you see how many animals a single person actually needs for average daily consumption.

Vegan here. Actually, it doesn't. The number is about 18%. The 51% number Cowspiracy claims is from a 70s study that erroneously factored in the CO2 from cow exhalation. I don't remember the exact explanation because I am retarded, but it has to do with the fact that that CO2 is part of a carbon cycle. The analog would be claiming that CO2 fumes from cars that burn bioethanol count as emissions, when they really don't count because the bioethanol plants drew that CO2 from the atmosphere to grow up. That said, >>41814682 to imply that meat isn't a luxury we can do less of with is retarded

I'm not the op , I'm not even vegan or vegetarian .

But the main reason vegan people ten to be healthy is because they heavily reduce their omega 6 intake;

>>
>>41816735
Chickpeas, lentils, and beans
>>

Lentils , beans
Avoid soy like the pest .

And don't be afraid of carbs for fuck sake , if you get your carbs from shit like lentils & beans it will never cause any problem .

>>
>>41816760

Avoiding soy is a meme. It's fine in moderation.
Also, lentils, per 100g (according to Google) gives me only 9g protein. Pinto beans are 21g per 100g. Nuts are high in fats, brown rice isn't that high, and oats are minimal.

I'm getting like 75g at most, and 39g at least. It's not good famalam.
>>
>>41813932
How about you ignore posts about meat itt?
>>
Ok new vegan here.

How do you guys manage to get all your amino acids on a cut? I am always short on methionine. Its also generally hard to get enough protein without conpletely fucking up your calories and going over.
>>
>>41816789
>lentils, per 100g gives only 9g protein.
Anon, that is cooked lentils. Raw lentils are about 26g protein for 350 kcal (100 g). Assuming a modest to low 2400 kcal TDEE and 3 meals a day, eating 800 kcal lentils is easily 60 g protein. And that is just 1 meal.
>>
>>41815231
It's reactionary. Many vegans have learned the benefits of being less preachy but meat eaters are sick of when they were and will hound vegans until the end of time about it.
>>
>>41816789
9/100 is for the cooked one , 100g of uncooked lentil will yield around 250g of cooked .

Here in France I can buy 1kg on lentil for 1.77€ ( 2$)

That's 260g of proton for 2$

7.7$/ Kg protein , that's cheaper than the cheapest shitty my protein whey in promo .

The reason carbs are demonized by your average lardball is because they are sedentary piece of shit who spend 95% of their time near 100% glycogen sore .

More carbs = you can do more exercise .

Less meat & more veggie = Less inflamation = Better, faster recovery = you can do more exercise , more often .

The kings of the kangz is bicycling , since the impact is low you can spend hours & hours cycling everyday , my current TDEE is near 4000 and I weight 65 kg .
>>
>>41814361
I'm not a vegan (you can't eat a political ideology) but I found the opposite was true.

When I started eating 90% whole grains, produce, and legumes, my body felt so much cleaner, shit darker and firmer, high energy, high test.

Eating lots of red meat, lots of dairy, and fried things makes me feel kind of lethargic, like how I imagine the average fat person feels all the time.

You don't have to be a soy-eating faggot to eat right, but you do have to resist the evil of veganism while basically maintaining a "vegan" diet.

"However, in contrast to the effects in rodents, a recently published meta-analysis of the clinical research found that there were no effects of soyfoods or isoflavone supplements on total or free testosterone levels or levels of dihydrotestosterone—the biologically active metabolite of testosterone [225]. Similarly, the clinical evidence shows that soy does not raise estrogen levels (see reference for review) [226]."

and

"Clinical studies have shown that isoflavone intakes as high as 150 mg/day-which is still 4 times higher than typical Japanese intake—are without effect on estrogen levels [226]."

"There were no significant correlations observed between any nutritional variables and preexercise C or the absolute increase in T and C after exercise. These data confirm that high-intensity resistance exercise results in elevated postexercise T concentrations. A more impressive finding was that dietary nutrients may be capable of modulating resting concentrations of T."

How does it feel to be so indoctrinated that you don't even notice the constant push to consume animals throughout society?
>>
>>41814984
Good post bro I've been arguing with my vegan mates a lot about the wildly exaggerated numbers they perpetuate, based off shitty documentaries or dodgy websites. I myself am vegetarian, because I do disagree with animal agriculture as a whole. If you think about the energy going into the system to provide your calories in meat form, it's super fucking ineffient compared to vegetable based diet. I fucking hate misinformation being spread, but at the same time you can't just pretend like the meat industry doesn't have a huge negative impact on the environment. And obviously diet is just part of the change we need to make to live more sustainably.

Also I feel like humans as a whole definitely can consume meat sustainably but not in the current form. The fact that we are so seperated from our food means people never take in what goes to making meat. I personally will go back to eating meat, when I get my hunting licence or down the tract when I can grow my own livestock. One way we could implement this as a society might be to ban selling animal products so it kills the industry and you just grow and kill your own if you really need

>That said, >>41814682 # to imply that meat isn't a luxury we can do less of with is retarded
I never said that. I believe we can and should do with less meat and animal products. Not none, less.
But the idea that all livestock and animal products need to be done away with (what vegans want) ignores the difference between land that can grow crops and land that can support grazing and that the two are not interchangeable; it also ignores the importance of animal products as sources of protein in the diets of those in developing countries even if those animal products do not comprise the majority of calories in their diets. Some animals (like hogs) even serve to convert waste back into edible product.
I also wish there were further agricultural reforms, specifically in the US; there is no need to be growing things in places where intensive irrigation is required when other crops with similar yields but different market values and subsidy rates will grow without any irrigation. Vegans are by far not the only driver of such nonsense (Big Ag and lobbyists are) but their lifestyle demands it and if they had their wish of everyone becoming vegan it would only be worse.
>>
>>41818906
How does it feel to restrict your diet for the sake of feeling morally superior and being specialer than the specialist snowflakes?
>>
>>41818998

>>
>>41819048
I don't feel restricted at all, and I don't care about feeling morally superior. I would prefer everyone to be vegan. But you do see that what you said was BS and you can admit that what vegans "push" is nothing compared to what is served on every street corner, on Tv, in series, in commercials etc. right?
>>
>>41815168
>Even if they were off by a factor 2 and the UN report is correct, your claim that the impact of meat is 'trivial' is fucking retarded.
It is trivial compared to the entirety of the rest of their lifestyle, which most vegans do not change.
Shit, a lot could be accomplished by growing your own produce in your backyard and canning things so you don't have to ship out of season fruits and vegetables from half the world away to your plate. This is is something that I, a meat eater, do but most vegans do not. Do you grow your own produce?

>an 18% reduction
And you must be retarded if you think that livestock accounting for 18% of emissions translates into an 18% reduction in emissions for those that do without animal products. The emission per calorie of animal product (most meat eaters consume far more than maintenance) must be compared to the emissions per calorie of vegan produce, including the effect of shipping, preservation (which were taken into account for that 18% for meat) and the difference between them would be the reduction in emissions.

>A top nutrition advisory committee says people no longer have to be concerned about eating foods that are high in cholesterol. The committee’s report, which was released today, will help shape the next version of the U.S. Dietary Guidelines, set to be released later this year.

Outdated info. The guidelines came out, you're now told to eat less dietary cholesterol than before

https://www.choosemyplate.gov/2015-2020-dietary-guidelines-answers-your-questions

The advisory committe that this is reporting on were the subject of a lawsuit sent to the USDA because many of its members had financial ties to the egg industry

http://www.businessinsider.com/usda-sued-over-new-dietary-guidelines-2016-1

>Research is beginning to show that your genetic makeup – not diet – is the driving force behind cholesterol levels, says cardiologist Steven Nissen, MD.
>The greater danger for everyone is in foods that are high in trans fats, Dr. Nissen says.
>“Those often appear on food labels as hydrogenated oils or partially hydrogenated vegetable oil,” Dr. Nissen says. “Those types of fats do tend to raise cholesterol and do tend to increase the risk of heart disease.”

The guy contradicts himself. Serum cholesterol is genetic... but trans fats effect it. Well so does dietary cholesterol.

So no, it's not bollocks

That's not unique to the non vegan food industry and isn't even the kind of pushiness I meant anyway.

What I meant was that vegans are more aggressive and cuntish about their dietary opinions than meat eaters are. Whenever an argument over veganism happens it is usually a dirty hippie leftist who threw the first punch. I'm not saying all vegans are like this but it's a big problem that you guys have to start acknowledging because as it stands that kind of vegan is damaging your cause quite seriously, just like ISIS fucking up Islam for everyone else
>>
>>41820140
Also if you read the latest guide, think it's the 2015 one, it actually says that cholesterol consumption should be kept as low as possible. People prefer reading articles and blogs about other information, instead of just reading the information themselves.
>>
fuck every single one of you!!!

My sister is vegan for a few years now, as well as her husband. She lost a lot of weight and does look like a skelly, not an actual woman. She is one of these hippie-pls-save-the-planet-girls and doesn´t believe in the science behind nutrition. Why? Because she did read all these books from some vegan gurus that talk shit like "muh Gorillas don´t eat meat (and they forget to mention that Gorillas eat their own shit for proteins)".
Long story short. She eats no protein, probably not enough minerals as well AND DOESN`T GET PREGNANT!!!
She is the only woman in the family to not get prgnant.
mother has 5 childs
other sister has already her first
each grandmas had three kids.
everybody gets pregnant but her!!!

I WONDER FUCKING WHY
>>
>>41820202

>What I meant was that vegans are more aggressive and cuntish about their dietary opinions than meat eaters are

You think that way because their beliefs are different from yours. They think the same about meat eaters.

> you guys have to start acknowledging because as it stands that kind of vegan is damaging your cause quite seriously

Okay, what can vegans say/do that would make you stop eating meat, dairy, and eggs?
>>
>>41820202
Thanks for comparing our movement of compassion to terrorism. That's a myth from the internet anyway - most vegans are so concerned about the pushy vegan stereotype that they're really cautious about bringing it up.
>>
Vegan of 3 years here. What's your guys bulking diet like?
I eat oats for breakfast with chia seeds, flax seeds and loads of almond butter.
Tofu for lunch and then a protein shake before or after.
Dinner is normally lentils or something like that.
I've gained some mass, but I wondered if anyone had any tips?
>>
>>41820202
I don't care which "kind of pushiness" you meant. It's fucking pushy. Well all groups have retards, nothing we can do about it. Either the philosophy of veganism is correct or not, it doesn't really matter how some of it's followers act. Islam is violent in it's core, it's foundation is jihad, so ISIS is just taking the religion to it's logical conclusion. Veganism is about doing what you can to reduce the suffering you cause, so I don't see the parallel. Yes I know you ment the relation of a sub group to the whole, but it's a stupid example.
>>
>>41820202
>that kind of vegan is damaging your cause quite seriously,
Not at all. VG is so popular because of his aggressive shtick. As a meat eater I stay subscribed because it was fun watching him tear apart youtubers and shills. Since practically all those videos are informative I eventually gave in to logic.

But I get it, you want to pretend that vegans are a unique kind of mean ;_;

She proabably eats too little fat, should up her nut/seed intake and maaaaybe add some oils temporarily to her diet.

>People sell dead abused animals.

Yes, it is called food. It has been called food for 100,000 years.
>>
>>41820239
Maybe be supportive and give her information about some vegan food she should incorporate into her diet so she can make up for deficiencies in minerals and/or protein.
>>41820289
Fellow bulking vegan here, spaghetti, rice+beans, and smoothies are my favorite for clean eating. Slightly less clean favorites are pb&j's, and dark chocolate. If you like lentils, try rice+lentils+frozen veggie mix, and top it off with some olive oil.
>>
>>41819900
If something is advertised on every corner and you've been brainwashed since birth into eating it and only a small minority doesn't eat it I'm pretty sure the majority is the party getting jewed
>>
>>41820392
And humans have been called porperty. It's not just "food", it was once a sentient being that was put through a hell on earth so you could eat it's corpse that you don't even need.

If it all comes down to the feelings of the animals, then your argument is a losing one. Their feelings do not matter and the vast majority of people wouldn't think twice about it.

That's only true if you use conspiracy theorist logic. Feminism is pushed by kikes and it's not the mainstream.
Give me your lifts and your stats. I guarantee they'll be low because veganism objectively does not work for athletes (or people interested in retaining mental health) that's a simple fact that even a child could extrapolate; that doesn't make it some big conspiracy theory. Like I said using your logic flat earthers are correct and everyone else is a mindless sheep.

wouldn´t be the case, if veganism wouldn´t be promoted all the time by some fucking retards that interprete facts in their way, so it fits their vegan-agenda.
I have read some of these books and i remember them interpreting science their way
>example: oh my god anon, the meat you eat is litreally ROTTENING in your stomach. Proof that we aren´t made to eat meat, because the food is not really digested.
In fact, "rottening" is the scientifical description of digesting meat. When we digest meat, our enzyms (sry, english is not my mothertong) start to cut the protein into the aminoacids, which is also the way bacterias digest meat in nature (a dead animal is rottening, because the bacterias are digesting it). Our stomach has the necessary enzyms to digest meast, we are omnivours capable of doing that.

your faggot shit wouldn´t mind me, because i also hate the mass slaughtering of animals. the fact that veganism is better for nature is also an advantage.
>inb4 why don´t you go ahead and slaughter your meat yourselve, if you still buy slaughteed meat
will probably do so in future. planning on getting some land and having my own farm animals.

sorry for going on a rant, i am just pissed at my sister and idiots that don´t know how to do veganism the right way

Oats with a banana for breakfast. Sometimes smoothie bowls at summer.

Snacks are fruit and high-protein vegan yogurts.

Lunches are often hummus and falafel wraps with salad.

Dinners vary, usually veggie protein of some sort for those protein gains.

Turned vegan 4 months ago solely for health reasons. Read T. Colin Campbell, McDougall, Michael Greger..etc.

Feeling considerably better, food shopping is cheaper, eating larger quantities, strict guidelines keep me in check. I'm whole food plant based more than vegan.

Breakfast: oats, peanut butter, banana + apples
Lunch: brown rice, beans, paprika, flaxseed, spinach
Protein shake: sun force flower power shit - can't remember name, this expensive garbage is only bad thing about this diet, could just eat more beans to be honest, but this is easier.
Dinner: brown rice/wild rice/potato/sweet potato + more beans (any kind canned) + spices + random veggie assortment.

Hitting my nutrients about 98% on Cronometer, getting in about 3000 calories daily with about 160g protein. Meals are fucking massive, satisfying and delicious.
Look into health benefits. I couldn't give a single solitary fuck about animal welfare, but meat industry is gross and animal protein FUCKS (FUCKS FUCKS FUCKS) people's health up. That relative with Alzheimer's/Diabetes? It's meat bruh. No conspiracy, shit is real sad. Treat meat for what it is, a special treat.

3,5-4W of functional threshold power per kg of body weight, wich is the power output you can sustain for 1 hour relative to your weight.
FTP is a verry important figure in cycling, especialy realtive to your body mass since that is what you have to carry uphill.
3,5-4W/kg means 175-200W for a 50kg rider or 350-400W for a 100kg rider.
Of course your peak power is much higher and might even go in 4-digit area, but that is only for a few seconds.

That is what it looks like to produce 700W for only 1 minute: https://youtu.be/S4O5voOCqAQ
