I'm going to start seeing a chiropractor once or twice a week and see if I can't fix my lateral pelvic tilt. It's bad enough that I can't squat or deadlift without hurting myself, I can't hold form so I'm hoping this chiro will put me back into shape. Anyone else have this problem?
>>
a chiropractor? seriously?
see an orthopedist and then a physical therapist ffs

Would that be the best route then? I'm starting a higher paying job soon so I may be able to afford more extensive treatment. I figured I chiropractor would be the most cost effective option.
>>
yeah don't go to a chiro, maaaaybe if youre in straya but even then...
You need to go see a physical therapist

Interesting that I find these responses here. Every person at my gym advised that I go to a chiropractor and skip the PT. Thanks for the advice.

No joke, I just saw a lady who practices something similar. I've been making slow progress but sometimes I feel like I need something is stuck in my hip that's inhibiting my gaining mobility.

Do you remember the name of the practice? Laban? Feldenkrais? There are a bunch of somatic practices loosely tied to acting/dancing that borrow a lot from each other. Mostly about using natural pathways etc.
Slow progress is progress. Sorry you got a funky hip, but the most I can say is stay at it. Don't know how old you are, but you've been building up habitual movement for that many years, can't expect to see them change in weeks. Keep at it, anon. Bump for FM Alexander Master Race.

I don't recall the name sorry, it was very similar thought. I've got this from being a barista for 4+ years. I've been doing the same lean and twist motions for that whole time period. Luckily my new career should be more asymmetrical in its stresses. Cheers.

I've had lateral pelvic tilt 3 times, ended up with a rib out of place one time, patellofemoral pain another, and an achilles injury possibly linked to it most recently.
I think my bone structure leaves me somewhat predisposed to it, although the first time happened while I was recovering from a minor surgery.
It hasn't come back in about 2-3 years since I last sorted it out though

Anyway, here's a picture of what perfect pelvic alignment looks like. Use this to keep yourself motivated

This is a little-known issue in chiropractice but your C1 vertebra is likely tilted, and the rest has tilted to compensate. Go see a NUCCA-certified chiropractor and they will 100% fix in in a couple weeks
