doubt there are any studies for such a inconsequential questions so you'll just get broscience. Pick one or the other, do it with good form and get stronger over time and your biceps will grow.
I personally like heavy hammer curls for 2 sets of 8-10 then 2 sets of light concentration curls, squeezing at the top
