So I came home from the store to cook me and my lady some steak for dinner. I turn the steaks over and they look liked this . My gf now refuses to eat the steak and thinks they have turned "rotten" .
Would /fit/ still cook a discolored steak and eat it ?

Color means nothing. Smell it. I guarantee you you will know if they're spoiled.

Those are awful cuts of steak. Toss them out just for being dogfood-tier

This. Color is a matter of exposure to oxygen. Even if there's some tinge of green you're usually okay. The smell is all that matters.
The meat has just become oxidized. As long as it smells fine and isn't slimy you're good.

well all the meat has its blood removed, so the meat is naturally a brownish color until they dye it pink.
after the pink wears off, you know a lot of the juice has evaporated, its still edible but it doesn't taste as good. the most important thing is the smell.
