so I was checking some cbt threads and some dudes who're barely out of DYEL mode claim to have lifts like B: 240 and S: 368 . yeah sure I'm gonna believe that. I've been working out for like 8 months, looking fairly big and I can't bench or squat those amounts. Even the big roided out dudes at my gym bench life 240 for 5 reps. Either most guys here are strong as fuk or everyone at my gym(and uni gym) is a weak faggot

Those are piddly 1rms.
I'm sorry about how weak you are.
Lift*

Yeah I know it's 1rms but it still doesn't make sense for skinny looking dudes to claim they can 1rms that much
Because /fit/ has a self-perpetuating cycle of e-stats making people feel insecure and like they haven't achieved "enough".
Same way people in CBTs lie about how long they've been lifting, or say things like "I've only been lifting """seriously""" for 1 year".
People lie, and it changes the expectations of newbs, who then go on to lie about their own stats because they think they aren't doing good enough.

No, they're really not that much whether they're skinny or not. I was DYEL as fuck at 190lbs at 6'2" when I was lifting for 10 months, but still squatted 365x2, benched 225, and deadlifted 445x3.

>190 lbs
>6'2
>DYEL
>10 months
>those lifts
It's hard to tell which part of your post is a lie, tripfag
>why do people lie about their lifts?
The same reason people lie about how much money they have. It makes them feel good and better about themselves.
They don't have that dosh in their bank accounts, but it doesn't matter.
They can't lift that weight, but it does not matter.

Choose to believe whatever makes you feel better. I don't have any videos or photos from that time so I can't exactly prove it, but I'm not even impressive.

Sure bro great lifts

That was then, now I've got 520/315/550 @220. Hoping to do like 550/330/570 at my meet in a couple of months.
