I'm actually with you OP. Not that I defend that morbid obesity doesn't have any health effects, but I agree on the fact that our aesthethic canon and goals is nothing else than a fetish that doesn't have much in common with "health" (as healthy as cardiovascular exercice can be, weightlifting and bodybuilding isn't necessarily, and can be somewhat detrimental). Keeping that in mind, it would benefit this board to stop pushing the need to follow the actual body trends as an ethic imperative and instead focusing on the relativity of fetishes we and everyone embrace.
