I usually pyramid up and then reverse pyramid down

I did a upside down reverse pyramid and I feel pretty good
I do this with squats.
It helps me get more reps with the heavier weight, and then I go to failure with lighter weight.
It just doesn't feel the same with other lifts and body parts though.
