Doing linear progression on starting strength, how much should I be adding to the bar every time I bench? Currently benching 150 lbs and have been on the program for 2 months.
I'm not an expert but from what I've learned from others is that during a strength phase you should aim for low reps of 3 or 4 with longer rest times.Train about 4 days a week and aim for 2.5 - 5lbs on the bar per week, make sure your eating enough to get stronger. Starting at 150 I would think your progress will explode at first then slow down.

I bought a set of microplates and use 2-lb increments for the arm compounds. I still stall pretty much every time I add weight to the bar, it's just a little more manageable (instead of getting 3x5 it'll be like 5, 4+1, 3+2... then next workout maybe 5, 4+1, 4+1... then 5, 5, 4+1, etc.)
