I have a BIG problem. I was sick and took a break from exercising. the break was like 2 weeks or something. now I've lost all motivation I once had. I had just started and were going to start at a gym, but I'm not going to because I know I won't go. while I was sick, I started bulking. I was thin, now I'm closer to chubby. how do I get back my motivation? I used to actively take pushups one every hour and saw BIG improvements after just a week. I also started eating more. so how do I get motivated? any tips for a noob?

once every hour*
I didn't take one pushup every hour. that would be just sad.

Nobody can help you if you don't want it bad enough. Goodbye.

Just go to the gym you pathetic fuck. Who knows, maybe you'll grow a spine there and can get rid of this need for external motivation.

i get this way too after a hiatus especially when you can feel yourself getting weaker.
idk what your work schedule is but you need to set an alarm, for like 6am and adhere to it every single day. then eat breakfast. something healthy. that routine every single day should be enough to get you back into a habit of being proactive. seriously.
In my experience 'motivation' doesn't work, you have to simply sit down and think, 'argue with yourself', setting out to yourself why you want it, what it's going to take, and telling yourself you've made up your mind, then subsequently reminding yourself any time doubts come up that you've made up your mind. That process has worked more for me that any motivation video or TED talk.

look at the mirror, are you happy how you look? do you feel comfortable with your current shape of body, weight/bodyfat? No? Then do something about it. There you go.

Just look at shit that motivates you, but don't rely completely on it. For instance, I look at movies or scenes from movies to motivate me - lately it's been Troy and Alexander.
When circumstances have prevented me from hitting the gym (finals week at school,or getting really sick),I usually fall into a slump in which I lose the motivation to go to the gym. After a while I realized that going to the gym consistently takes discipline, and you shouldn't rely on motivation to get your ass in the gym. Get up,go into the gym,and even if you pump out a half ass workout,it's better that atrophying at home. It's all about forming a habit, and sticking to it.

you guys need chill. I want to do something about it, and that's why I'm here. yes, I am weak, but so were we all once. what's important is how you make yourself look, not how you looked before or now. if you are weak and just started working out, then you are stronger than most already. if you sit and sob about not being fit, you are weak, not if you actively try to fix it like I am. you are probably not that fit anyways. if you were you wouldn't be on 4can.
Well honestly just stop lifting. You should enjoy it rather to dread having to do it. No point in forcing yourself to do something if you don't want it anyway.
Posting a bit of my motivational stuff - get your shit together, OP.
This happens to me all the time.
Most recently it happened 16 months ago and I lost all my gains. 18 months of gains gone to the wind.
Yeah anon, stay at home; bulk recklessly, and get uselessly fat and weak. Someone else will live your dreams for you, so your life can be one great big couch binge.
