Lunges (3 sets 10 steps per leg)

I don't wish anything bad to the fellow spergs of this board, so this is the only reason why I'm writing this instead of shrugging off to another thread. You should stop. Something is just not built for heavy weight. 5x5 triceps extensions? Rear delt flys? hammer curls? you are going to destroy these joints. just search about it in the internet man, it's not a big secret.

ironically enough, you should definitely go 5x5 on those dips with overload.

Thanks for the input man. I didn't see the increases in weight/muscle volume with higher reps/fewer sets on triceps that I did just sticking to 5x5s. With regards to weight I do something that I fail on in the last set, not trying to 5RM every time if that was your impression. A little searching as you suggest puts the ideal rep range for tris between 4 and 8. Haven't experienced joint pain with this routine but I started low weight and worked up, especially on flys to not overload my joints as you pointed out.
