Which is the better workout, biking 1 mile or walking 1 mile?

Biking. Unless you're walking 500 miles, and then another 500 more, you're never gonna Compare to biking in terms of calories burned

LOL just bullshit. 7km of walking is already 400 calories with a decent pace.

Walking. A bicycle gives you a mechanical advantage, which is why it was invented, so walking the same distance is going to burn more calories

You dumb

You're dumb. Biking is much more efficient to burn calories.
To burn any considerable amount of calories by walking requires you to practically run. There's a reason you don't see people walking when on a cut autist

Neither.
Neither one is a 'workout'.
Neither one is even a 'warmup' unless you're a 70 year old grandma.
Try 'running 5 miles' or 'biking 25 miles'.
Over the distance the walking is better, considering only time biking is better. Biking is generally better for your joints.

Walking at a brisk pace essentially burns the same amount of calories per distance as jogging does. Look it up, there are some research papers on it

Walking and running burn almost the same amount of calories unless you get into the 5 to 10 mile+ range. That being said, obviously running is better than walking for your stamina.
If you're only going 1mi don't bother biking, unless you have somewhere to get to.
Also, walking burns a shitton more calories, no coasting, no free ride down hill, etc. Cycling is great for long distances, though.
